Forklift Operator

AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our Hurst facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the receipt and/or shipment of materials, supplies, and products. You will be working primarily in the yard in an enclosed forklift/spotter truck. Must be able to work outside in multiple weather conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive goods, verify order, inspect condition of goods
- Move product to and from storage, production areas, and loading dock via forklift
- Scale incoming & outgoing loads on truck scale
- Upload photos and documents into our system
- Coordinate outgoing shipments with shipping and receiving personal
- Verify identifying information - counts, weights, measurements, etc. against BOLs, invoices, orders and/or other records
- Performs daily inspection of equipment
- Follows all necessary processes and procedures in AZZ’s truck driver policy
- Forklift experience preferred though not necessary
- Position will cross train to various other roles within production
- 1 - 2 years related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control and costs, knowledge of hand tools and equipment is preferred.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Certified forklift operator is preferred
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent is helpful.
