The successful candidate will work closely with plant leadership, contractors, consultants, and corporate stakeholders to ensure projects are safely executed on schedule and within budget.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nFacilities Engineering:\nSupport building infrastructure systems across assigned manufacturing facilities.\nEvaluate facility needs and develop capital improvement plans.\nCoordinate repairs, renovations, and facility expansion projects.\nSupport utility infrastructure including electrical distribution, compressed air, natural gas, water treatment, HVAC, fire protection systems, and process support utilities.\nParticipate in long-range facility planning efforts.\nConstruction & Capital Project Management:\nDevelop and manage capital expenditure requests (CERs).\nPrepare project scopes, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.\nLead capital projects through planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.\nManage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple locations.\nPerform financial justification and ROI evaluations.\nGreenfield & Expansion Projects:\nSupport greenfield facility development and startup activities.\nCoordinate contractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and vendors.\nMonitor project schedules, milestones, and construction progress.\nParticipate in commissioning, startup, and facility turnover activities.\nSupport replication of facility standards across future expansion projects.\nContract & Vendor Management:\nSolicit and evaluate contractor proposals.\nManage contractor performance and project execution.\nCoordinate onsite construction activities.\nEnsure contractor compliance with safety and site requirements.\nDevelop strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.\nSafety & Regulatory Compliance:\nEnsure projects meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in safety reviews and risk assessments.\nSupport permitting activities and regulatory compliance efforts.\nPromote safe construction and operational practices.\n 4+ years of experience managing construction, facilities, or capital projects within industrial or manufacturing environments.\nExperience coordinating contractors and construction activities.\nExperience managing multi-million-dollar capital projects.\nExperience developing project budgets, schedules, and scopes.\nMust be able to travel up to 50% based on project needs.\nRelevant field experience in industrial maintenance, construction management, skilled trades, facility infrastructure, or project execution environments will be considered favorably.\nMinimum Education\nBachelor’s degree in construction science, Construction Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Related technical discipline.\nCertifications related to role highly desired, i.e. Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Plant Engineer (CPE), Facilities Management Professional (FMP), Construction Documents Technologist (CDT), OSHA 30, Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C).\n What We Offer\nCompetitive salary and bonus structure.\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package.\nRetirement savings plan with company match.\nOpportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic industry.\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nAZZ Inc. is a Drug Free Workplace","description_format":"text","description_chars":5072,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Retirement plans"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Manufacturing","Metal Fabrication"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-15T18:04:53Z"}],"liveness":{"score":42,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.449,"p_room":0.945,"age_days":7,"expected_fill_days":12,"reasons":["conf:3","stale_co","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/precoat-project-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/precoat-project-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T01:11:51Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
