As an Extrusion Assistant Operator, you'll play an important role in producing high-quality blown film products while learning the technical skills needed to advance into an Extrusion Operator position. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and continuous learning.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nAssist in the operation of blown film extrusion lines to meet production and quality goals.\nSupport machine setup activities, production startups, and roll changes.\nLearn to independently operate an extrusion line as skills and experience develop.\nOperate core cutting and palletizing equipment to support production flow.\nPerform visual and measurement-based quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.\nMaintain raw materials and supplies needed for extrusion operations.\nAccurately label finished rolls and inventory.\nComplete production documentation and reporting accurately and on time.\nFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and inventory handling procedures.\nSafely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.\nAttend required safety meetings and training sessions.\nWork closely with operators, leads, and supervisors to maximize production efficiency.\nCommunicate equipment, material, or quality concerns promptly.\nDevelop the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to advance\nSupport a positive, collaborative team environment.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Skills\nStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nBasic computer skills, including Microsoft applications.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nEffective communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nProblem-solving mindset and ability to follow established procedures.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to climb stairs and work at elevated heights.\nAbility to work around manufacturing equipment safely.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.\n\nBenefits & Rewards\nAt Pregis, we invest in our employees' success both on and off the job.
