The Finance Director provides financial leadership for budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, capital investment analysis, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nJob Details\nLocation: Norfolk, NE, New Albany, IN, or Chicago, IL\nTravel: Up to 50% in Year 1\n\nJob Summary\nLead the financial close process.\nProvide financial leadership and business partnership to the commercial and operations teams.\nDevelop and execute financial strategies that support company objectives and growth plans.\nDeliver actionable insights to improve profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.\nSupport strategic initiatives, acquisitions, expansions, and capital investment decisions.\nContribute to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business unit, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers to optimize the company's financial performance and strategic position. \nPartner with the business unit president and leadership team to deliver on an accelerated five-year growth strategy to grow the business over 5x in the next five-years.\nDirect activities associated with revenue generation, cost management, capital expenditure investment, asset management and balance sheet of the business unit. \nLead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.\nAnalyze financial and operational performance against budgets and targets.\nPlan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s financial function and performance. \nEstablish and maintain a high performing team. Foster growth and development within the team. \nDrive cash flow and manage the working capital of the business. \nMaintain strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.\nOversee standard costing, product costing, and cost accounting processes. \n\nCompensation\n\nThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package. Learn more about Benefits at Pregis.\n\nRequired Education, Experience and Qualifications\nCandidates must have prior financial leadership experience in a progressive organization. \nOperational finance experience, including three years in a leadership position, is required for success in this role. Experience with SAP is preferred.\nProven experience leading a multi-million dollar P&L, preferably in a product manufacturing business\nSeven to fifteen years of experience in related manufacturing industry \nBA/BS degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
