Responsibilities extend to but not limited to plant engineering projects and plant utilities like compressors, Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer linked to Hot Rooms and other plant auxiliary systems. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing and executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing maintenance budgets, and improving equipment reliability to support operational performance and customer service objectives.\n\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nSupport, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation. \nAdheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. \nSet the tone for the team’s culture with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Profitability, and people development. \nAttract, retain, develop, and mentor key talent within your department. \nWork directly with plant leadership and operations personnel to quickly address breakdowns, repairs, schedule PM’s, etc. \nManage plant projects, capital projects and project budgets. \nCommunicate effectively with plant management, engineering, and operations about maintenance and capital project requirements. \nGrow, sustain, and own competent and complete maintenance spares inventory. \nDevelop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation. \nKeep safety in the forefront of the team’s thinking and approach to work. \nMaintain and help develop a clean, safe work environment and well-organized department utilizing the 5s approach. \nEnsure that the maintenance team follows LOTO and other safety rules without exception. \nEnsure the timely and correct execution of PM and CM work from CMMS system. \nMonitor equipment performance and implement strategies to reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall equipment reliability.\nOwn plant capital list and Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) system for the facility \nMonitor maintenance spending and identify opportunities for cost improvement while maintaining equipment reliability.\nLead maintenance team to safety, quickly, and effectively complete tasks with a customer centered approach, minimizing downtime and negative impact on service levels to customers. \nPerform RCA’s and use problem solving tools to continuously improve machines and processes.\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned. \nIf requested, reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship to the business.\n\nCompetency (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)\nAbility to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture. \nPromote positive teamwork culture. \nMaintain a visible presence on the production floor to support operations and identify improvement opportunities while balancing administration office work. \nProactively reaches out across departments to collaborate. \nShows willingness to offer training to fellow department members. \nGood analytical skills set and a sense of urgency when it comes to completing work. \nGood analytical skills and ability to source other/outside resources to resolve issues. \nAbility to communicate with team effectively and respectfully during shift transition. \nKnow the safety requirements of the position before starting any job. \nFollow all safety rules and procedures established by the company. \nTake personal responsibility for own safety and fellow employees, correcting and/or assisting in the correction of any safety hazard identified. \nKnowledge of Metric system and main concepts of Static and Dynamic Physics; Electricity; Electro-Magnetism; Hydraulics; Thermodynamics; Chemistry; Mathematics; Computer science. \nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence. \nUse Office software and enter work orders in the CMMS software. \nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. \nPrior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge. \nAbility to work in a demanding environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.\nEnvironment\nExposure to moving equipment. \nInside work. \nHeat may exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit. \nHumidity may exceed 80%. \nNoise may exceed 85dB+.\nPhysical Characteristics\nFrequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%. \nRepetitive use of wrist, hands, and fingers. \nFrequent bending and some kneeling. \nFrequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles. \nFrequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 30-50 lbs). \nFumes or airborne particles, working near moving mechanical parts over 75%. \nToxic or caustic chemicals work in high, precarious places under 25%. \nRicks of electrical shock from 25% to 75%. \nVibration under 25%.\nExposure to continuously operating machines and related equipment \nOccasional reaching. \nOccasional typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s in engineering, Mechanics, Electrical, Computer Science or equivalent experience.\nWelding/Fabrication knowledge.\nAbility to use CAD software to create mechanical drawings desired.\nKnowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics repair and troubleshooting.\nExperience with maintenance CMMS work order systems.\nAbility to understand mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings. \nAbility to operate a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties. \nPLC certified preferred • Understanding of machine control systems, electrical schematics. \n3 years of managerial experience.\nCompensation\nThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package.
