Working in our state-of-the-art facility, closely with operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams, you'll lead process improvement efforts, develop standardized work, reduce waste, improve quality, and help optimize how products are manufactured. This is a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering role focused on process excellence rather than product design.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nConduct studies that determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflows and recommend methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel\nValidate BOMs, work instructions, and other documentation against production and customer requirements\nAnalyze production processes, methods, and other data to optimize production\nIdentify opportunities to standardize improvements to machine assembly and apply them to other applicable applications across various machine platforms.\nResolve issues and delays in production using independent judgment and discretion\nCollaborate with remote engineering teams to prepare new machines for production release\nAid QA department with process improvement and manufacturing work instruction updates\nCreate and modify work instructions\nAnalyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency, using a lean six-sigma and industrial engineering approach\nAssist in design of assembly fixtures and jigs to aid the assembly process\nWork closely with vendors for manufacturing fixture and test equipment development\nTranslate 3-D assembly models and detailed assembly drawings into manufacturing, along with identified CTQ’s (Critical to Quality)\nParticipate in DFMEA and DFA reviews with design engineering and drive PFMEA, particularly for new products and significant design changes\nBalance multiple projects concurrently \nExecute implementation of engineering changes into production\nDomestic travel will be required periodically\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related ABET-accredited program\nManufacturing Engineering experience in a production environment\nExperience with process improvement, root cause analysis, and manufacturing documentation\nStrong communication skills and ability to influence change across multiple levels of the organization\nAbility to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nPreferred\nAssembly manufacturing experience\nProblem solving focus and the ability to think creatively troubleshoot machine issues, design constraints, and other roadblocks\nKnowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and pneumatic systems\nLean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience\nExperience developing SOPs, standard work, and process instructions\n\nBenefits & Rewards\nAt Pregis, we invest in our employees' success both professionally and personally.
