Team members are encouraged to expand their technical skills through cross-training and development programs designed to support growth within manufacturing operations.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nSet up, adjust, operate, and monitor a variety of bindery and finishing equipment, including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding and gluing machines, inkjet systems, and mailing equipment.\nOperate equipment safely and efficiently while meeting production, quality, and productivity goals.\nPerform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments to support production schedules and customer requirements.\nOperate automated bindery equipment consisting of multiple functions and workstations, including paper cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, and binding equipment.\nProduce finished products such as books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and other printed materials.\nInspect equipment and work areas to ensure safe operation and compliance with company safety standards.\nMonitor product quality throughout the production process and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.\nTroubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.\nOperate adhesive binding equipment, including perfect binders, and monitor associated processes such as gluing, covering, stacking, and finishing operations.\nCoordinate multiple machine stations and functions to ensure efficient workflow and product quality.\nMaintain accurate production records, counts, and documentation.\nMonitor quality, productivity, and output throughout production runs.\nLead and support production crews through daily operations while promoting teamwork and communication.\nPerform routine cleaning and housekeeping activities in accordance with Pregis standards.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nCompetencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)\nStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience operating bindery, finishing, printing, mailing, or manufacturing equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret production instructions and job specifications.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to lead and support production crew activities.\nKnowledge of manufacturing safety practices and procedures.\nAbility to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.\nCommitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nCareer Development\nPregis invests in employee growth and development through structured training and advancement opportunities.\nHands-on equipment and technical skills training.\nCross-training opportunities across manufacturing operations.\nMentorship and development programs.\nOpportunities to advance into higher-level operational and leadership roles.\nContinuous learning in a safety-focused manufacturing environment.\nEnvironment\nIndoor manufacturing environment.\nExposure to moving mechanical equipment.\nHeat may exceed 90°F.\nHumidity may exceed 80%.\nNoise levels may exceed 85 dB.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping.\nFrequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to work on feet for extended periods.\nAbility to safely work around moving equipment and machinery.\nOccasional computer and keyboard use.\nPosition Type\nFull-Time\nNight Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM\nRotating 2-2-3 Schedule\nOvertime required based on business needs\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.\nPrevious bindery, printing, finishing, mailing, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred.\nExperience operating bindery equipment such as folders, stitchers, cutters, collators, drills, or binding equipment preferred.\nMechanical troubleshooting and machine setup experience preferred.\nExperience leading or coordinating production activities is a plus.\nCompensation\nThe listed hourly base pay range is estimated to be $24.00 - $27.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, performance, and demonstrated competencies.
