The plant operates on a 24/7 schedule.\n\nThe Production Manager will be responsible for the Safety, Quality and Operational excellence of the plant. \n\nAs a Production Manager, you are responsible for leading a team of people in production operations to achieve operating goals and operational excellence. Production Manager’s lead shift supervisors who in turn lead hourly employees, approximately 60-70 personnel in total. A Production Manager leads their team to meet a variety of production objectives that may include safety, productivity, quality, maintenance, training, cost control, and standardizing and sustaining operations. They will manage performance metrics (uptime, throughput, quality control, safety, etc.) and identify improvement opportunities making data driven decisions.\n\nYou’re good at and enjoy...\nExecute the production strategy and vision, by translating business objectives into tangible projects and actions\nEstablishing and maintaining routines and process control\nEnabling efficiency through standardization and simplification\nBeing part of a team that is creating something better each day and values each other\nA fast paced, hyper growth environment\n\nJob Responsibilities\nEnsure all production goals are met\nSafety – Reporting and compliance\nThe plant must be maintained in a clean and organized manner\nSupport in the development of Job Safety Assessments (JSA’s)\nHelp Establish a zero Incidents safety culture\nTarget of 1 or less Total Recordable Incident Rate for 2026\nPerform safety audits throughout the plant via EASE initiative\nResponsible for Environmental, Health and Safety, including waste management\nEnsure compliance and accountability; including disciplinary process\nProvide monthly safety score card \nAll employees follow safety rules and know the Critical Safety Rules\nDevelop a 5S culture\nQuality\nMinimize quality returns/customer complaints\nEnsure the quality of the manufactured products through SOP’s\nDevelop corrective actions to eliminate the re-occurrence of quality issues – scrap reduction\nEnforce quality procedures\nProductivity\nCollect, sustain and analyze KPI data\nInternal Quality incidents\nDowntime\nInitiate corrective actions from the KPI data gathered\nSupport in the achievement of the plant’s targets\nSafety\nProductivity \nQuality \nWIP/Inventory levels\nOthers as developed\nImplement Cost Saving initiatives that will increase the business’s profitability\nEnsure On Time Delivery In Full of products to our customers\nProvide daily KPI’s to the Plant Manager by facility score card report\nWork with scheduling to increase productivity\nAttend daily meetings to provide productivity recommendations and execute plan\nMinimize changeover plans by grouping similar products\nContinue to develop strategies to maximize labor utilization\nResponsibilities and job description\nHours worked vs. hours needed\nManagement\nManage the manufacturing team to ensure the facility meets performance goals\nCleanliness and organization\nStandard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and safety rules are followed\nMonitor and manage attendance\nSupervisors and Leads responsibilities\nDrive accountability on the floor - Discipline employees as required, up to termination\nWork with other departments as a cross functional team that supports the goals of the business\nManage supervisors\nProvide them with proper direction to achieve the company goals\nEstablish and develop goals holding them accountable for safety, quality and performance\nDisciplinary actions/log if needed\nDevelop Standard Operator Procedures/Standard Work to create a consistent performance in the workplace\nReview employees’ performance and elaborate a succession plan\nEnsure adequate training and job responsibilities are clearly laid out for new employees\n\nEducation / Experience\nBA from a four-year college (Engineering Degree is a strong plus).\n10+ years of experience in plant leadership in a manufacturing business in lieu of degree\nPrior experience managing direct reports is required.\nPrior experience with web-handling/adhesive coating/solvent coating preferred\nAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)\nFamiliarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.\n\nSkills & Training\nExcellent computer skills including MS Office; ability to manage and analyze large data sets and build models in MS Excel.
