The right individual will have 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment, and will ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved, while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. \n\nIn addition, the individual in this role will be responsible for creating a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration that will enhance the department’s ability to attract, develop, and retail top talent. The Production Supervisor is responsible for all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including the interviewing and selection of talent and all components of performance management.\n\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nDrive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.\nEffectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence\nMonitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions\nPlan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment\nCreate, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.\nTrain and understand of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it’s up to date and accurate\nTroubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement\nAccurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.\nAnalyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.\nSelf-motivated with results-driven approach.\nAbility to prioritize workload.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nStrong analytical skills\n\nEnvironment\nExposure to moving equipment\nInside work\nHeat may exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit\nHumidity may exceed 80%\nNoise may exceed 85dB+\n\nPhysical Characteristics\nFrequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%\nOccasional lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.)\nFrequent typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed.\n\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience required\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required\n5+ years’ experience with a minimum 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory position.\nStrong Background in manufacturing\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint.\n\nCompensation\n\nThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package.
