Promptly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members.\nMaintains appropriate level of production supplies/ materials as required, to ensure next shift operators incur minimal downtime.\nContinuously monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements and quality are being maintained.\nMeets or exceeds production rates, minimize waste levels and meets all customer requirements.\nSets up and adjusts rewinders.\nNeatly palletizes skids with finished product.\nEnters production reporting data into machine computer accurately.\nSeparates scrap into appropriate film-type gaylord.\nOperates core cutting machine, vacuum lift, and pallet jack.\nAssist on or operate other converting or manufacturing equipment and perform preventative maintenance within the plant as assigned\nAcquires knowledge/ skills of Set-up Technicians to better assist and troubleshoot when needed.\nSupport, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation. \nAdheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements\nAttends meetings and completes safety trainings as required.\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned. \nIf requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship to the business.\n\nCompetency (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)\nAbility to take coaching well and communicates respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture.\nPromote positive teamwork culture\nAbility to communicate with team effectively and respectfully and during shift transition \nPrior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge.\nRead a tape measure to 1/32”\nMust be able to communicate (read and write) in English\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.\nEnvironment\nExposure to moving equipment\nInside work\nHeat may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit \nHumidity may exceed 80%\nNoise may exceed 85dB+\n\nPhysical Characteristics\nRepetitive use of wrist, hands, and fingers.\nFrequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%.\nFrequent bending and some kneeling.\nFrequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles.\nFrequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 30-50 lbs.).\nOccasional bending and twisting.\nOccasional reaching.\nOccasional typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed.\n\nPosition Type\nFull time\nShift work 8 hours\nOvertime expected per business demand\n\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required\nMinimum 1 year manufacturing preferred\n\nCompensation\nThe pay range for this position is $18/hr. to $19.50/hr.
