They will play an integral role in developing and executing the manufacturing planning strategies and techniques in both the Extrusion and Press teams. We’ll look for this position to coordinate and expedite the flow of production work and materials according to the master production schedules\n\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nBalance production capacity across all extrusion and press lines and ensure material is produced and available for downstream processes such as Press and Converting.\nOpen and process manufacturing orders, job specific purchase requisitions.\nManage manufacturing orders / purchase requisitions based on changing customer needs.\nPartner with Master Production Scheduler as well as the converting planner to ensure Schedule obtainment.\nCommunicate priorities and workflow processes throughout the value chain as required.\nPrepares production reports\nMonitor, maintain and control inventory levels of both finished goods, raw goods and work in process materials to meet customer delivery dates. Use MRP system to ensure proper material management for materials needed to ensure production schedules are met\nDetermines and periodically reviews Finished Goods and Raw material min/max levels.\nCollaborate and communicate scheduling changes to customer service, and the manufacturing floor.\nIdentify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency relative to stability, cost, service, and quality.\nMonitor to ensure all ERP system parameters and settings are maintained and updated to align with the Business Unit, Operations and Supply Chain goals.\nUse various analytical skills, reports, and exception messages to manage the production planning.\nAnalyze historical product demand patterns, trends and other business information to ensure proper production planning.\nResponsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety policies.\nSupport change management and training efforts to ensure process improvement solutions are adopted and leveraged for maximum benefit.\nBalance daily tactical needs with strategic equipment, procurement and capacity planning needs.\nIdentify and present alternative solutions including purchasing from other plants to support customer requirements.\nRecommend improvements and provide support required to enable process standardization and optimization.\nTrain End Users on SAP Master Data Governance related processes and procedures.\nWork independently to complete day-to-day deliverables.\nBuild effective relationships across all departments\nOther duties as assigned\n\nCompetency\nStrong decision-making and problem-solving skills\nStrong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines\nStrong data analytical skills with the ability to pull data, create reports, summaries and scenario modeling\nExcellent communication skills, including good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities.\nUnderstanding of SAP PP Forecasting modules.
