Job Summary

A motivated fresh graduate Mechanical/Project Engineer supporting engineering design, project execution, and maintenance activities within oil and gas operations. Works under supervision to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in design, analysis, and review of mechanical systems (piping, pumps, compressors, pressure vessels).
  • Support project planning and execution, including scheduling, cost tracking, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation).
  • Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare and review technical documents (drawings, specifications, reports).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ASME).
  • Monitor contractor work and assist in resolving technical issues.
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
  • Follow all HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience (internships/training in oil & gas is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of oil & gas processes (upstream, midstream, downstream).
  • Familiarity with engineering standards (API, ASME).

Skills Required

  • Basic understanding of:
    • Fluid mechanics & thermodynamics
    • Piping & equipment design
  • Software skills:
    • AutoCAD / SolidWorks
    • MS Excel / Project
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to work on-site or in remote locations
