The role partners with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable system solutions, strengthen controls, improve reporting, and increase process efficiency.\n\nReporting to the Director of Financial Systems, this role provides hands-on functional and technical leadership across financial accounting, financial reporting, accounts receivable, revenue, supplier accounts, procurement, business assets, expenses, cash and banking, and financial planning and analysis. Responsibilities include Workday business process and security administration, reporting, integration support, release impact assessment, ServiceNow request management, audit support, and end-user guidance.\n\nThe position independently leads complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts; coordinates cross-functional work with Finance, Accounting, IT, internal and external auditors, and third-party partners; and supports special projects and the financial systems roadmap. This role has no direct reports but is expected to provide subject-matter expertise, influence decisions, and mentor less-experienced team members through day-to-day collaboration.\nKey Responsibilities\nResponsibility #1 – 40%\nWorkday Financials Administration, Configuration, and Delivery:\n\nAdminister, configure, test, and support Workday Financials business processes and finance modules across financial accounting and reporting, accounts receivable, revenue, cash and banking, supplier accounts and procurement, expenses, business assets, and financial planning and analysis.\n\nTranslate complex Finance and Accounting requirements into scalable system designs, configuration changes, reports, integrations, testing plans, documentation, and production-ready solutions.\n\nLead assigned enhancements and projects from discovery through deployment, including requirements, design, testing coordination, stakeholder communication, training, and post-production support.\n\nSupport Adaptive Planning and other finance systems used by FP&A, Accounting, and Finance leadership, including data flows and downstream dependencies.\n\nResponsibility #2 – 60%\n\nManage Workday Financials security administration, role assignments, access requests, and related controls to maintain appropriate segregation of duties and control integrity.\n\nPerform quarterly security and controls reviews, support internal and external audit requests, maintain documentation, and provide evidence for control compliance.\n\nOwn and resolve ServiceNow requests related to Workday access, business process routing, reporting, integrations, configuration, master data, and system exceptions in accordance with service expectations.\n\nReview Workday releases and vendor updates, assess impacts, recommend adoption decisions, and coordinate testing and communications.\n\nLead complex issue investigation and root cause analysis for business process failures, reporting discrepancies, integration errors, security issues, master data changes, and downstream financial impacts.\n\nIdentify recurring support trends and improvement opportunities; implement sustainable fixes that reduce manual effort, strengthen data quality, and improve the user experience.\n\nContribute to the financial systems roadmap and special projects, maintain clear documentation, provide end-user guidance, and mentor less-experienced team members through knowledge sharing and review of work products.\n\nRequired QualificationsWork Experience:\nYears of Applicable Experience - 4 or more yearsEducation:\nBachelors (Required)Preferred QualificationsSkills:\n\nAdvanced knowledge of Workday Financials administration, business processes, security, reporting, integrations, and configuration concepts; experience with Adaptive Planning or related finance planning platforms is preferred.\n\nStrong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, internal controls, segregation of duties, financial data, and system dependencies.\n\nAbility to translate complex business needs into scalable system designs, clear requirements, testing strategies, documentation, and sustainable support processes.\n\nDemonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, project delivery, stakeholder management, and change communication skills.\n\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, influence without direct authority, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences.\n\nExperience:\n\n5 or more years of applicable experience in financial systems, ERP administration, accounting systems, financial reporting, or technology-enabled Finance functions.\n\nHands-on experience supporting Workday Financials or a comparable cloud ERP, including business process configuration, security administration, reporting, integration support, release management, and production issue resolution.\n\nExperience leading complex enhancements or projects through requirements, design, testing, deployment, stakeholder communication, training, and post-production support.\n\nExperience supporting internal or external audits, controls evidence, access reviews, and remediation activities.\n\nExperience serving as a subject-matter expert or mentor in a team environment; Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $72,000 - $120,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
