All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.\nThe Role\nProduction Finance\nReconcile production budgets to actual costs within Xytech and support the analysis of budget variances.\nAssist Production Managers with financial reporting and budget monitoring.\nEnsure costs are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct cost centres, processing journals where required.\nRaise client invoices, create purchase orders, and maintain cost centres and general ledger codes.\nSupport ad hoc reporting and finance activities across the production function.\nAccounts Payable\nProcess supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and timely system entry.\nManage supplier onboarding and respond to vendor queries.\nPrepare periodic payment runs and reconcile supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies\nProcess employee expenses and company credit card claims in line with company policy\nAccounts Receivable\nMaintain customer records and process sales invoices and credit notes\nMonitor outstanding receivables, maintain aged debt reporting, and support collection activities\nIssue customer statements and remittance advice as required\nSupport sales ledger reconciliations and month-end close activities\nGeneral Finance Support\nPerform account reconciliations and assist with month-end processes\nRespond to finance queries from internal stakeholders and external suppliers.\nSupport the continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting.\nUndertake additional finance and administrative duties as required\nRequirements for the role\nExperience working within a finance function \nKnowledge of the ERP accounting system\nProven ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion\nGood verbal and written communication skills \nStrong IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook \nWell organised and able to prioritise effectively\nHas a can-do attitude, inspires others through own positive attitudes, energy and passion \nAdvanced attention to detail, proactive and methodical approach to task \nKnowledge of working with accounting software, Xytech, Jet Reports, Concur, Microsoft Dynamics GP and 365 Business Central\n\nOur commitment to safeguarding includes implementing robust safer recruitment procedures to assess the suitability of individuals applying for roles that involve work with children and adults who are or may be at risk of harm.
