We combine engineering and hands-on manufacturing expertise to deliver turnkey solutions from design through commissioning.\n\nYour Experience at Premier\nHere’s what you can expect from the role, the team, and the culture that supports you:\n\nJob Type: Full-time, hourly position with overtime eligibility\nSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM\nTesting & Troubleshooting: Work hands-on with custom industrial control systems, performing electrical testing, power-up, troubleshooting, inspections, and verification to ensure equipment meets project and quality requirements\nTeam Culture & Growth: Join a collaborative, down-to-earth team with opportunities to grow your expertise in electrical testing, troubleshooting, industrial controls, and automation, along with employee appreciation events, team activities, community involvement, and seasonal celebrations\n Interview Process: Virtual screening, in-person interview(s), and facility tour\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nAs a Test Technician, you will:\nSafely power up and test electrical equipment and control systems, including equipment operating at 500V+\nPerform electrical testing using multimeters, hi-pot testers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment\nTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and functional issues identified during power-up and testing\nPerform ohm checks and inspect electrical assemblies for proper wiring, workmanship, and functionality\nVerify completed equipment and project materials against electrical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs)\nIdentify, document, and communicate test issues and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve them\nSupport customer factory acceptance testing (FAT) and complete related test documentation\nMaintain accurate project records, including drawings, photographs, test results, and project information\nSupport manufacturing and project needs as required\nFollow established testing procedures, electrical safety requirements, and quality standards\n\nExperience and Qualifications\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nAssociate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on electrical experience\nExperience with electrical assemblies, control panels, or industrial electrical systems\nExperience using electrical test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and hi-pot testers\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams\nKnowledge of electrical safety and safe power-up procedures, including work around energized equipment\nStrong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and communicate issues\nStrong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results\nPreferred Experience:\nExperience testing industrial control panels or custom electrical equipment\nFamiliarity with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, or industrial automation systems\nExperience with factory acceptance testing (FAT) or system-level troubleshooting\nPhysical & Work Requirements:\nAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs\nAbility to stand, bend, reach, and work in various positions throughout an 8-hour shift\nManual dexterity and ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment\n\nOur Benefits Package: Invested in Your Success\nWe believe in taking care of our team.
