This role is part of our Cloud Managed Service Team and is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, infrastructure management/optimization, and operational changes across managed cloud environments.\nThe ideal candidate is a strong technical troubleshooter with a passion for operational excellence, automation and emerging AI technologies, and is eager to grow beyond their current platform strengths to build equally strong expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP over time. Rather than serving solely as a cloud subject matter expert, this individual will leverage cloud platforms, automation frameworks, and AI-powered tools to rapidly diagnose issues, improve service delivery, and drive operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate also demonstrates extreme ownership of customer outcomes, proactively driving issues to resolution, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and serving as a trusted technical advisor who prioritizes customer success while maintaining operational excellence.\nIn addition to day-to-day operational support, this role will help shape the future of Managed Services by identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, integrate cloud services through APIs, and develop AI-enabled solutions that enhance operational effectiveness. The role will also help mature and scale our GCP managed services capabilities alongside our established AWS practice.\nThis position supports customers with U.S.-only resource requirements, including state and local government organizations with enhanced security and personnel screening standards. Candidates must be able to successfully complete and maintain all customer-required background investigations and eligibility requirements.\nInterview Note: Applicants may be asked to visit a nearby Presidio office for a face-to-face interview. Proof of active certification(s) is required.\nTravel Requirements:\nThis role will be remotely based in the Continental US with associated travel of 5%.\nResponsibilities Include:\nDiagnose complex operational issues quickly.\nUnderstand cloud architecture well enough to identify root causes.\nUse AI effectively to accelerate investigation and resolution.\nBuild automation and AI-driven workflows to eliminate repetitive work.\nLearn new cloud services rapidly as AWS and GCP continue to evolve.\nManage and support cloud-native services including compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and security services.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Google Deployment Manager) to support consistent, repeatable infrastructure deployments.\nCreate and maintain runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation to support consistent service delivery and knowledge transfer.\nMeasure and report on automation and AI initiatives, demonstrating improvements in operational efficiency, service delivery, customer experience, and platform reliability.\nChampion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence through the adoption of automation and AI-first operational practices.\nServe as the primary technical resource for managed services customers, driving technical conversations with both the customer and internal account teams.\nCommunicate effectively with customers regarding incidents, service requests, maintenance activities, and change implementations.\nDeliver high-quality customer service while maintaining SLA commitments.\nMentor team members and lead technical initiatives that raise the bar on service delivery, operational efficiency, and engineering best practices.\nProvide technical leadership during complex incidents, guiding engineers through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions.\nRequired Skills and Professional Experience:\n6+ years experience troubleshooting and managing core services in both AWS and GCP, including compute, networking, identity, storage, monitoring/observability (e.g., CloudWatch, Cloud Monitoring), and security (e.g., IAM, KMS/Cloud KMS, network security controls).\n3+ years developing automation solutions using Python, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Google Deployment Manager), APIs, workflows, or orchestration tools.\n3+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, managed services, or platform engineering environments.\nDemonstrated ability to leverage AI tools, assistants, and automation platforms to improve operational efficiency and accelerate problem resolution.\nExperience consuming and integrating REST APIs and cloud-native services.\nStrong analytical and systems-thinking skills with a proven ability to diagnose complex technical issues.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience supporting containerized workloads.\nAt least one current AWS or GCP certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect), or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire.\nMust be eligible to support public sector customers and successfully complete any required criminal history, fingerprint-based, or other customer-mandated background investigations necessary to access customer environments and systems.\nMust be available to support customer environments during designated shift hours.\nParticipation in after-hours escalation and on-call rotation may be required.\nMust be a US Citizen.\nAdditional Desired Skills and Professional Experience:\nExperience working in various roles at an AWS/GCP MSP\nHands-on production experience across all three major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, and GCP), including core compute, networking, identity, and security services.\nExperience building AI-powered operational workflows and intelligent automation solutions.\nExperience leveraging LLMs, generative AI platforms, and AI assistants within engineering or operations environments.\nExperience integrating AI services such as Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI APIs, or similar platforms.\nExperience developing agentic workflows, AI orchestration frameworks, or autonomous operational processes.\nExperience with AIOps platforms, observability tools, and intelligent event correlation systems.\nExperience building knowledge retrieval, RAG, or AI-assisted support solutions.\nExperience with cost optimization and rightsizing practices across AWS and GCP (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer/Trusted Advisor, GCP Cost Management/Recommender).\nExperience with observability and troubleshooting of complex EKS/AKS/GKE implementations.\nYour future at Presidio\n Joining Presidio means stepping into a culture of trailblazers - thinkers, builders, and collaborators - who push the boundaries of what's possible.
