This includes serving as a primary front-line fundraiser to engage and introduce the organization to new individual donors, corporations and foundations to receive philanthropic support.\nThe Development Associate is responsible for supporting the development team in its efforts of cultivating and maintaining social investors to significantly impact the overall success of Pressley Ridge. This position requires the ability to assist and act in a confidential capacity, communicate well with tact, and project a professional image always with all levels of internal personnel, corporate Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.\nEssential Responsibilities\nNurture relationships with donors, identify and cultivate giving opportunity while interacting with donors to encourage and invite additional support.\nAnalyze and provide data and reports to assist in fundraising strategies and team initiatives.\nConducts research on prospects, including individuals, corporations and foundations identified by the development team as potential sources of private funds for specific projects.\nDocumentation Input and update donor records into the database system.\nAssist in all parts of the donor cycle in order to build current and new relationships.\nDevelops and maintains all research material needed and used by the Development Department.\nQualifications\nEducation/Credentials/Licensure: Requires bachelor’s degree.\nRequires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.\nExperience:\nRequires one (1) year experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in non-profit, development, fundraising or related environment.\nExperience working within a development department is preferred.\nExperience with Development database systems preferred.\nClearances Required by Applicable Regulations:\nState Police\nFBI\nChild Abuse Clearances\nMandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training certificate and/or statement.\nWorking Conditions\nPhysical Demands: This position requires operating a keypad device 50% of the day and electronic/office equipment 30% of the day. Travel is required approximately 5 times per month and works in weather conditions about 20% of the day. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, upper back, legs and feet are all routinely used 25% of the day. Employees must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 20% of the day. Standing occurs 30% of the day. Sitting happens 50% of the day. This function routinely lifts under 10 pounds.
