Discovery’s core streaming applications on all devices and platforms. The development team responsible for the Roku platform is a major part of that mission.\nThe ideal candidate\nWe are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Roku team. In this role, you will collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design, build, and maintain software applications and features used by millions of daily users.\nKey Responsibilities\nWrite client-side code for streaming applications, demonstrating the ability to use industry-standard tools and technologies.\n\nWith guidance from senior engineers, actively contribute to a collaborative team environment. Participate in all aspects of development, including reading and writing technical documentation, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and supporting releases.\n\nCommunicate effectively with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, engaging in various meetings and working sessions.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n5+ years of experience in developing and releasing software products and/or services.\n\nProficiency in client-side scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python; experience with BrightScript and SceneGraph is a plus.\n\nExperience developing for streaming devices like Roku, FireTV, or similar platforms is a plus.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nComfortable collaborating using Git for version control.\n\nHow We Get Things Done…\nThis last bit is probably the most important! Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $163,730.00 - $304,070.00 salary per year.
