The position reports to the process manager w/ a primary work schedule of Tuesday - Friday, day shift, with the flexibility to work early/ late shift, overtime, and weekends, as needed.\nSpecific Duties / Responsibilities:\n Responsible for ongoing observation and knowledge transfer for new and current employees\n Guide, mentor, and support, employees’ focus on performance improvement \n Facilitate and/or assist with new hire orientation and training\n Conduct plant tours for new candidates and new employees \n Teach new employees work tasks and techniques\n Provide direction & guidance, and fill-in for operators & area leads as needed \n Provide assistance to operators, administer supplies and materials, document line assignments, training progress, and cross-training tracking\n Operate with a safety-first mindset above all other department metrics \n Work within GMP, Safety, and USDA guidelines to achieve top quality in a safe work environment \n Perform other related duties as assigned\n Requirements\nEducation :\nHigh school diploma or GED (Min.); \n Experience:\nWorking knowledge/experience in food processing or related field (Poultry processing - Preferred)\n Experience with machine operation or as lead operator\nSkills/Abilities/Attributes:\n Working knowledge in food processing industry w/solid understanding of food safety compliance \n Team player; able to influence without authority and successfully to transfer knowledge\n Natural leader w/ excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. \n Self-directed; able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision\n Physical Requirements/ Environment:\nLift / move up to 40 lbs.;
