This position is essential in providing operational and curriculum support, administration, safety, and management for formalized naval training.\nKey Responsibilities:\nClassroom Preparation: Prepare classrooms, workstations, and labs prior to instruction, ensuring all equipment is set up and instructional materials are available\nOperational Checks: Perform operational checks of classroom and lab training equipment, devices, and aids to ensure functionality and readiness\n Equipment Maintenance: Identify deficiencies or discrepancies in training equipment and instructional aids, including preventative and corrective maintenance needs. Submit written recommendations to the Training Authority (TA) and the Contracting Officer Representative (COR)\nInventory Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of instructional materials and student forms required for specific classes and labs\n Reporting Discrepancies: Document and report any material discrepancies or issues that may hinder teaching any section of the course through the SWSC/PMS 339/SLC Formal Course Review process\nRequirements\nFormer Navy Senior (E5 - E9) Surface Ship Engineer and one of the following:\n Tier I (Master Level): An Electrician’s Mate AND a graduate of: NEC U35A / Electrician’s Mate Surface Ship Electrical Advanced Maintenance (A-662-0017)\n NEC U38A / Air Cooled Frequency Converter, Maintenance (A-652-0241) & SSM Automatic Degaussing (A-690-0022)\n\n Tier II (Journeyman Level): One of the following ratings: Electrician’s Mate (EM)\n Gas Turbine System Technician Electrical (GSE)\n Interior Communications Electrician (IC)\n Plus possess at least one of following NECs:\n NEC U35A / Electrician’s Mate Surface Ship Electrical Advanced Maintenance (A-662-0017)\n NEC U38A / Air Cooled Frequency Converter, Maintenance (A-652-0241) & SSM Automatic Degaussing (A-690-0022)\n\nInstructor qualifications:\nGraduate of the Navy Instructor Training Course (CIN: A-012-0077) (NEC 9502) or an equivalent instructor training course\nMinimum of three (3) years of technical experience in the subject matter to be instructed\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a military training environment\nKnowledge of learning principles, methods of presentation, testing and remediation procedures, curriculum, training aids, and maintenance procedures related to the course\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nClearance:\nMust be able to obtain a favorable background investigation\nIf you meet these qualifications and are ready to make an impact, we encourage you to apply today!\nAt Prevailance, we recognize that our employees are our greatest asset.
