With 38 offices located in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, PRG offers the ability to provide services worldwide by collaborating with our local partners.Responsibilities\nThe Bench Technician, LED installs, diagnoses, repairs, tests, and maintains LED display products, including tiles, processing equipment, and related components. The role verifies that equipment meets PRG quality standards, documents service work, and supports coworkers in the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.\nEssential Functions\nInstall and test LED products and related equipment to confirm proper operation.\nDiagnose electronic and mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Develop and complete repairs using approved techniques, company procedures, and manufacturer specifications.\nTest and verify subassemblies and major system components. Recalibrate equipment and confirm applicable factory specifications.\nUse manufacturer software to configure equipment, verify operation, and review firmware versions or update needs.\nPerform routine and preventive maintenance. Complete post-repair inspections and quality control testing within established deadlines.\nMake final technical decisions on difficult equipment issues, including whether equipment is ready to ship, requires client approval, or must be taken out of service.\nIdentify and order parts needed for repairs. Maintain accurate parts lists and review stock levels with the Technical Services Manager.\nComplete factory acceptance testing, inspection, quality control, maintenance, and repair documentation accurately and on time. Maintain asset records, including serial numbers, firmware versions, and service history.\nExplain equipment operation and maintenance to coworkers, help train entry-level personnel, and cross-train to support other departments as needed.\nMaintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment. Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and repair processes.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nWorking knowledge of LED display equipment, control software, and equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.\nAbility to interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions.\nStrong diagnostic, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, manage competing priorities, and meet quality control deadlines.\nAccountability, attention to detail, and sound technical judgment.\nAbility to work flexible hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform work that may require bending and working in confined spaces.\nEEO and Disclosure\nThe pay range for this position is $25.00-30.00/hour, as dictated by the governing collective bargaining agreement. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
