They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip and unload cased products from the trailer to customer facilities. These drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport dangerous cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.\nEssential functions\nOperate vehicles up to and including 26k GVWR\nComplete company paperwork as required, enter equipment quantity count when loading and unloading vehicles\nParticipate in the loading and unloading of equipment from vehicle\nRestock equipment correctly and according to standards set forth by the working location\nMaintain, configuration of orders, clean and maintain of company equipment and resources\nAssist in general maintenance of rental equipment such as lighting, grip, power distribution. \nBringing equipment up to factory specifications before returning to stock\nMay operate assigned warehouse equipment-handling machines in compliance with safety standards and as set forth by the company. Machines include but not limited to pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and order pickers. Operator must be trained and certified prior to operating any “powered” equipment handling machines\nParticipate in cross training as assigned, help and guidance for related work when necessary\nProvide training to new and existing employees, as well as interns as assigned\nQualifications\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nKnowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations \nAbility to follow instructions and complete required training \nAbility to work independently and/or as a team \nUnderstand and comprehend traffic signals, signs, right of way rules \nAbility to drive long distance during the day and night on all types of roads and in all types of weather \nExposure to noise and vibration \nExposure to dust and diesel fumes \nHours may vary due to operational needs \nCompetencies\nPerform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment \nVerify and complete required documentation and reports \nMaintain accurate daily logs \nFollow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch (e.g. delays, arrivals, equipment problems), as required \nComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures \nAble to utilize a smart device to communicate with others along with specific apps related to dispatch, hours of service, and payroll \nPhysical demands\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time. \nAbility to bend, twist, squat, and climb in and out of a truck \nAbility to perform tasks that involve lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds multiple times a day \nOther Requirements\nNo positive drug/alcohol test including pre-employment, random, post-accident or reasonable suspicion \nNo more than 2 moving traffic violations (including no more than 1 preventable accident) during within the last 36 months \nNo D.U.I. (Drug or Alcohol) convictions within the last 5 years \nNo vehicular homicide \nNo using a vehicle in the commission of a felony \nNo reckless driving or speeding \nNo leaving the scene of an accident (body injury or physical damage) \nTravel required\nAs required \nRequired education and experience\nMust possess an active Class C license within the United States \nMust meet all other qualifications outlined in Sec 391 of The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations \nHigh school diploma, or equivalent required, or two years of work experience may be substituted for a high school diploma \nMust be at least 21 years old \nMinimum of 2 years of full-time verifiable type driving of units up to and including 26k GVWR \nAble to speak and comprehend the English language written and verbal \nEEO and Disclosure\n The pay range for this position is estimated to be $20.00-23.00/hour. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
