With 38 offices located in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, PRG offers the ability to provide services worldwide by collaborating with our local partners.Responsibilities\nThe Product Manager, Audio is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Audio equipment preparation and quality control across AOL operational locations. This role establishes processes, technical standards, training programs, and performance measures that support safe, consistent, and efficient equipment preparation.\nWorking closely with the VP of Audio, Audio department heads, Audio Repair Management, and other stakeholders, this position supports staff development, equipment readiness, and continuous improvement throughout the Audio product group.\nEssential Functions\nProvide leadership and management to supporting Audio equipment preparation and quality control staff, establishing clear expectations and accountability across operational locations.\n\nEstablish long-term operational objectives aligned with AOL business goals, including safety, quality, throughput, inventory accuracy, equipment preparation standards, training, and integration across locations.\n\nDevelop and maintain Audio quality control procedures and supporting materials, including step-by-step technical documentation, training videos, and learning plans.\n\nWork with the VP of Audio to establish and maintain technical standards for the Audio product group, including equipment compatibility, configuration requirements, firmware and software support, testing protocols, and product-related recommendations.\n\nEnsure staff use current technical service bulletins, manufacturer updates, and approved procedures, and that equipment software and firmware meet company, manufacturer, or project standards.\n\nManage and maintain computer images for Audio QC and audio-specific rental systems, including software updates, firmware tracking, and controlled rollouts to support QC requirements.\n\nMaintain and organize digital QC resources across SharePoint, PRG University, Airtable, and other approved platforms so personnel have consistent access to current documentation and training materials.\n\nDevelop and deliver technical training for shop personnel, new hires, existing employees, and freelance technicians, adapting instruction to different experience levels.\n\nEvaluate staff training needs and support ongoing technical development and consistent application of Audio preparation and QC standards.\n\nCollaborate with Audio department heads, Audio Repair Management, and the ERP team to maintain accurate equipment family groupings and booking information within the Audio product group.\n\nCollect feedback from users and stakeholders, analyze performance data, and evaluate workflows to identify and address inefficiencies, training gaps, and quality concerns.\n\nLead process improvements and organizational change to support operational growth and consistency across locations.\n\nMonitor compliance with equipment preparation policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.\n\nCoordinate with departmental leadership to ensure Audio equipment preparation and QC deadlines are met.\n\nFollow company policies and safety requirements and perform other related duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong technical knowledge of professional Audio equipment used in live events and entertainment.\n\nStrong understanding of analog and digital audio signal flow, equipment configuration, and system compatibility.\n\nBasic understanding of electricity and its application to Audio equipment and safe work practices.\n\nAbility to develop clear, accurate, step-by-step technical procedures and documentation.\n\nAbility to lead technical training sessions and communicate complex information to groups with varying levels of experience.\n\nStrong leadership, staff development, and change management skills.\n\nAbility to analyze operational data and use findings to improve processes, quality, and efficiency.\n\nStrong organizational, troubleshooting, and time management skills, with thorough attention to detail.\n\nAbility to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.\n\nCommitment to workplace safety and consistent application of technical and operational standards.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.\n\nProficiency with TEAM ONE or comparable asset management systems.\n\nFamiliarity with SharePoint, learning management systems, Airtable, and similar documentation and training platforms.\n\nRequired Education and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n\nAt least 10 years of experience in the events or entertainment industry.\n\nAt least four years of management or leadership experience; supervisory experience preferred.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of live event equipment, including lighting, LED, sound, and recording equipment, with strong technical expertise in professional Audio systems.\n\nStrong understanding of analog and digital audio signal flow and basic electrical principles.\n\nExperience creating and improving standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and operational policies.\n\nExperience developing training materials and delivering technical training to personnel with varying levels of experience.\n\nExperience managing computer images, software updates, and firmware for Audio QC and audio-specific rental systems.\n\nProficiency with TEAM ONE or other asset management systems.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.\n\nFamiliarity with SharePoint, PRG University, Airtable, or comparable documentation and learning platforms.\n\nRequired certifications: Dante Levels 1, 2, and 3.\n\nPreferred certifications: Networking, L-Acoustics System Expert, and d&b workflow.\n\nEEO and Disclosure\nCA, CO, IL, NY, NJ and NV: The pay range for this position is estimated to be $90,000.00-110,000.00 annually. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
