With 38 offices located in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, PRG offers the ability to provide services worldwide by collaborating with our local partners.Responsibilities\nThe Technical Project Manager, Audio is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex technical production projects from concept through completion. This role partners with Account Executives, Market Project Managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop schedules and budgets, allocate resources, manage project risks, and ensure successful project delivery while meeting quality standards, client expectations, and company profitability goals.\nEssential Functions\nPartner with Account Executives, Market Project Managers, and clients to define project scope, objectives, schedules, and deliverables.\nDevelop comprehensive project plans, including milestones, workflows, technical layouts, and resource requirements.\nServe as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle, providing creative and practical solutions to technical, design, and production challenges.\nPrepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates while maintaining profitability targets.\nMonitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.\nCoordinate internal departments, external vendors, and project resources to ensure seamless execution.\nMaintain accurate project documentation, including equipment lists, schedules, change orders, and project records.\nPlan labor requirements and recommend onsite staffing based on project needs.\nReview project deliverables to ensure quality standards, technical specifications, and client expectations are met.\nEnsure compliance with all engineering, safety, and operational requirements.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and communication throughout each project.\nTrack project hours, expenses, and financial performance, providing regular status updates to leadership.\nAnalyze project costs, asset utilization, and profitability to support informed business decisions.\nManage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nQualifications\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nProficient in the design, configuration, deployment, and support of advanced wired and wireless communications systems, including Riedel Artist, Bolero, and SmartPanel platforms, Clear-Com Arcadia, Eclipse, FreeSpeak systems, and other professional intercom, matrix, and audio communications technologies.\nDemonstrated experience providing audio support for ENG, reality television, and film productions, including location recording, wireless microphone systems, IFB, timecode, and field communications.\nUnderstanding of RF system design and best practices\nIP networking fundamentals\nAES67, Dante, VLANs, QoS, PoE, multicast, and network troubleshooting\nFiber optic communications systems\nAbility to read, interpret, and evaluate client AutoCAD drawings and renderings.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nExperience using asset management software.\n\nProficient with Meyer Sound, L-Acoustics, and d&b audiotechnik systems. Relevant certifications are preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.\n\nProficient in PRG CRM (Salesforce).\n\nThorough understanding of the company's products, services, and capabilities.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of product discipline architecture and onsite workflows.\n\nAbility to identify and prepare all required safety and logistics documentation for projects.\n\nMaintains awareness of emerging technologies and evaluates their potential application to project engagements.\n\nAbility to communicate complex or sensitive information professionally and tactfully.\n\nCompetencies\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nCreative problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.\n\nAbility to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.\n\nAbility to lead, collaborate, and work effectively as part of a team.\n\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the workday.\n\nMust be able to bend, climb stairs, and stand or walk for extended periods, up to 50% of the workday.\n\nMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\n\nMust be able to communicate effectively through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.\n\nMust have sufficient vision and hearing to communicate effectively and to review, prepare, and inspect site plans, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documentation.\n\nTravel Requirements\nTravel may be required to support large-scale project and job site management.\n\nValid passport required.\n\nValid driver's license required.\n\nRequired Education and Experience\nMinimum of seven (7) years of project management or project coordination experience within the entertainment or live events industry.\nFundamental knowledge of entertainment technology, production systems, and equipment.\nMinimum of two (2) years of post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nUnderstanding of entertainment design principles and industry best practices.\nStrong attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, and proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, Microsoft Office Suite, and related project management software.\nEEO and Disclosure\nCA, CO, IL, NY, NJ and NV: The pay range for this position is estimated to be $80,000 - $100,000 per year. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
