All aspects of work to be carried out to the highest possible standard of safety while meeting PRG standards and client expectations.\nThe Lighting Engineers report directly to HOD. When on site the Lighting Engineer will report to the relevant Project Manager.\nQualifications\nPrevious experience in a similar role with a good understanding of the industry. \nMinimum of a High School Diploma or Associate degree is desirable. \nExperience working on large scale events in both concert and corporate environments. \nGood computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications. \nCAD, WYSIWYG and Vectorworks are an advantage. \nGood working knowledge of all aspects of Lighting Technology. \nExperience with automated fixtures and dimmers. \nKnowledge of lighting system configuration including DMX signal paths, patching and console operation. \nGood knowledge of power distribution and load calculations. \nDemonstrable and competent ability to working at height. \nAbility to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment. \nMust display a positive attitude both in the warehouse and on-site. \nExcellent oral and written communication skills. \nAbility to cope well under pressure. \nCapable of working to deadlines. \nA good understanding of: \nElectrical safety at work \nPAT testing \nSafe working practices \nAn understanding of stock control systems. \nMaturity to deal with people at all levels of the organisation. \nMethodical and analytical approach to work with good fault finding skills. \nAbility to learn and retain information within a reasonable time frame. \nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail. \nSelf-motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team. \nReliable with good time keeping record. \nCommitted to personal development. \nObserve a corporate image at all times, adhering to the company’s grooming standards. \nActively demonstrate and promote safe working methods / safe lifting practices. \nAbility to maintain a safe, clean and hazard-free environment. \nAbility to understand and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Rules. \nFull Driver’s license. \nPositive attitude to extra duties and new challenges. \nResponsibilities\nWork as part of the team in the preparation of equipment orders and the testing and returning of all lighting fixtures in the department. \nWork as part of the team in the safe delivery, set up, operation and de-rig of equipment needed for events. \nIdentify any additional lighting equipment that may be required to ensure safe working practices. \nRig, focus and operate Lighting equipment as required, interpreting the requirements from a Lighting plan. \nProgram and operate various Lighting consoles. \nEnsure correct equipment entry onto the equipment rental software- Winhits,including bar codes. \nGuarantee the Company’s quality standards are maintained at all times. \nFaulty/damaged equipment to be clearly marked and HOD / Operations Manager / Service Manager notified of this at the earliest opportunity. \nAny anomalies, omissions or shortages should be brought to the attention of the Head of Department / Operations Director immediately. \nEnsure that all equipment and flight case tour labels are marked up correctly for specific jobs. \nSupport the Head of Department with routine maintenance to ensure the equipment is kept in a good, safe and efficient working condition. \nAssist in the undertaking of stock cycle counts with operational departments when scheduled. \nEnsure the department is kept tidy and orderly at all times. \nKeep up to date with the latest fixtures and technology within the department. \nMaintain effective communication with the Head of Department to ensure any issues or concerns are dealt with quickly. \nEnsure all Incidents and Injuries are reported immediately. \nFulfill any other reasonable task required by the company. \nEnsure at all times confidentiality of information relating to the company or its clients, projects, or personal staff information. \nOperate within the current Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment, reporting any Health and Safety issues to the Head of Department. \nEnsure the Company’s quality standards are maintained at all times. \nAdvise your manager if you believe you are unable to meet your obligations for OH&S due to time or resource restrictions. \nEnsure the Company’s policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties. \nThe above list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive.
