Our team culture rewards a high sense of urgency toward serving our customers, those who exude a passion for their work and those who inspire excellence in those around them by their own drive for excellence.\nThe successful candidate's responsibilities will include: \nImprove and maintain the embedded systems of our existing controllers \nDesign embedded systems for new controls products and features\nContribute to project scope definition and concept development\nPerform cost benefit analyses\nWrite and execute design verification tests\nPrepare reports and keep organized records for project documentation\nParticipate in communicating with our customer-facing team members to define feature requirements and translate into product specifications\nDeliver solutions on schedule and within budget\nStay up to date with trends in development tools, technology and industry trends\nThe ideal candidate for this position will have: \nA College Diploma or University Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent\n1-4 years of hands-on experience with embedded systems design\nHands-on experience with C and/or C++ programming\nA firm understanding of basic algorithms and data structures\nExperience with network communication (TCP/UDP/HTTP)\nAn understanding of embedded protocols (I2C/SPI/CANbus/RS-485)\nExperience using Git (version control) and issue tracking system\nStrong interpersonal communication and organization, with an eye for detail\nA high level of critical thinking and accountability\nThe ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet timeline-dependent deliverables\nAbility to identify and solve root cause problems with simple solutions\nEmbedded hardware design experience, including schematic design, PCB design and prototyping considered an asset\nExperience with C# desktop application development considered an asset\nExperience with scripting languages such as Python is considered an asset\nAt Antec Controls, we believe in hiring based on team fit.
