This role serves as the technical owner for electrical product design, ensuring standard and custom solutions meet performance requirements, regulatory standards, cost targets, and manufacturing objectives. The position works closely with Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management and other product teams to support product development, custom engineering requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, and bills of materials for Applied HVAC products.\nCreate, review and approve electrical designs, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable codes\nSelect, evaluate, test, and integrate electrical components while balancing performance, cost, availability, and manufacturability\nDevelop and execute validation and testing plans to verify performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.\nSupport new product development, product standardization, and engineering change management activities.\nProvide technical support, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production, field service, quality, and customer issues.\nCollaborate with manufacturing to improve product quality, assembly efficiency, and design-for-manufacturing outcomes.\nWork cross-functionally with Mechanical design, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.\nWork safely with 3 phase electrical systems up to 600VAC.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or Technology Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Related disciplines may be considered.\n3+ years of experience designing electrical systems for manufactured products, HVAC equipment, industrial control panels or automation systems.\nStrong understanding of power distribution in electro-mechanical systems and controls integration with HVAC equipment.\nExperience with product development, design release processes, engineering change controls, and manufacturing support.\nStrong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, communication, and collaboration skills.\nPreferred\nExperience with HVAC equipment design and controls\nKnowledge of UL, CSA, NFPA, and related electrical standards.\nExperience with PLCs, DDC controls, BACnet, Modbus, and industrial communication networks.\nProficiency with CAD and electrical design software, including SolidWorks Electrical or similar tools.\nExperience with ERP, PLM/PDM systems, laboratory testing, and product validation.\nRegistration or eligibility with EGM or CTTAM (or equivalent)\nKey
