This role provides hands-on leadership to a unionized workforce, drives operational performance and continuous improvement, and ensures effective management of people, processes, and resources while supporting customer delivery commitments.\n\nThe successful candidate's responsibilities will include:\nProviding hands-on leadership and supervision to a team of unionized production employees. Ensuring daily production targets, schedules, and customer delivery commitments are met.\nPromoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.\nMonitoring product quality and driving corrective and preventive actions.\nManaging employee attendance, performance, coaching, and labour relations matters in accordance with the CBA.\nCoordinating manpower, materials, and equipment to support production requirements.\nIdentifying production challenges, resolving bottlenecks, and proactively addressing material shortages.\nMonitoring operational KPIs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.\nManaging labour efficiency, overtime, material usage, and production costs.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational goals.\n\nThe ideal candidate for this position will have:\n3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience leading teams in a unionized workplace.\nPost-secondary education in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).\nKnowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labour relations practices.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and workplace health and safety.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.\nExperience using ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.\nExcellent communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.\nA hands-on leadership approach with a strong focus on accountability, teamwork, and operational
