We are looking for an individual who is technically inclined, energetic, enthusiastic, productive and can handle multiple priorities in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.\nShift\nDay Shift : Monday to Thursday (6:30 Am to 4:00 Pm), Friday (6:30 Am to 1:00 Pm)\nThe successful candidate's responsibilities will include: \nOverseeing the performance of processes and employees in the Dampers, Terminals and Silencers departments.\nManaging orders and ensuring all needed materials are on-hand by working closely with the purchasing team. \nTroubleshooting production issues with support from senior operators and the production specialists. \nWorking with senior operators to develop an in-depth knowledge of the product line, utilizing documentation to capture critical-to-process information. \nBecoming a product expert. \nImplementing and championing Lean initiatives. \nCoaching and collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality product is built in a safe, cost-effective, timely manner. \nEnsuring department compliance with company policies and procedures. \nHolding regular meetings and prepare reports outlining daily/weekly/monthly scheduling plans. \nExcellent communication skills. \nThe ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment. \nMust be able to make critical decisions both independently and with senior management.\n\nThe ideal candidate for this position will have:\nPreviously worked in a manufacturing environment with a mandate for safety and quality. \nSheet Metal experience. \nA willingness and ability to learn technical requirements of the product. \n3-5 years of management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. \nAn aptitude for reading blueprints and engineering drawings. \nStrong leadership skills and an ability to effect and champion change. \nA proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nExperience with Lean manufacturing concepts is an asset.\nThe ability to travel internationally.\nA post-secondary education (considered an asset). \n\nAdditional:\nMust be willing to work outside of the regular hours when needed for in times of unforeseen issues and weekends (within reason).\nAs a Production Supervisor, the candidate will be expected to lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to attendance, reliability, accountability, and professionalism.
