We constantly explore new technologies and engineer better solutions for ever demanding business needs.\n\nIn this role you will get to:\nContribute to mission critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's business.\nBe part of a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates and delivers on new product objectives.\nApply your programming skills towards building low latency and high throughput transactional services.\nDesign and develop systems supporting our high-traffic Hotel, Airline, Rental Car and Vacation Package businesses, that serve hundreds of millions of searches a day, generating billions of events.\nInteract with Product and Design team members on a modern technology stack grounded in Node.js, with Javascript frameworks and libraries like React, and GraphQL.\nOptimize multi-platform performance across desktop, mobile, and tablet, with a strict focus on minimizing Time to Start Render (TTSR).\nWho you are:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science. \n0-1 years of experience with JavaScript/ Typescript and experience working on a number of large-scale, consumer facing web projects.\nAbility to utilize at least one modern client side JavaScript framework or library (React, Angular, Ember).\nFamiliarity withNode.js, how to use it as a web server or micro-service, and libraries such as Express.js.\nAbility to develop and build REST-ful and GraphQL APIs.\nComfort and knowledgeable with software development patterns like OOP, Flux/Redux, Modular, MVVM, MVC and Observer along with knowledge of uses of responsive design and HTML and CSS.\nFamiliarity with server-side development technologies such as Java, Go, JSP, Ruby, or Python.\nIllustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust. \nThe Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life.
