within the Financial Performance & Control team, which brings together financial control, management reporting, performance insight and finance business partnering activity across PwC Channel Islands.\nThe role will also work closely with Finance Business Partners, members of the Client Delivery Support team, and wider business stakeholders to ensure that accurate, timely and well-controlled financial information supports both statutory and management reporting, business performance review and decision making across the firm.\nAs the Financial Performance & Control team embeds its combined operating model, the role will help strengthen alignment between financial control and business performance insight, ensuring that reporting, analysis, governance and controls operate as one coherent finance service.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsibilities include:\n\nFinancial Control & Reporting\nManage the delivery of month end and year end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial outputs.\nManage the preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting disclosures.\nAct as the primary day-to-day contact for external audit activity, coordinating requests and ensuring timely delivery of audit requests.\nMaintain ownership of balance sheet governance, ensuring reconciliations are completed, reviewed and appropriately evidenced.\nEnsure adherence to accounting standards, firm accounting policies, and technical accounting requirements.\nSupport regulatory reporting obligations through accurate and timely submissions.\nMaintain a strong financial control framework, ensuring appropriate governance, documentation and control evidence.\n\nFinancial Performance, Insight & Management Reporting\nSupport the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful management reporting for Finance leadership, the business and senior stakeholders.\nPrepare and review analysis of financial performance, key balance sheet movements and other finance metrics to explain business performance and support decision making.\nWork with Finance Business Partners to ensure that management reporting, statutory reporting and business performance insight are aligned and based on consistent financial data.\nSupport the combined Financial Performance & Control operating model by connecting control outputs with commercial insight, planning activity and performance review.\nIdentify financial trends, risks and opportunities arising from reporting and control activities, escalating matters clearly and constructively.\n\nFinance Operations & Service Delivery Oversight\nProvide Financial Control oversight across Finance Operations, including outsourced accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.\nMonitor service performance, controls and operational effectiveness across delivery teams and service centres.\nManage cash and treasury related processes, including covenant monitoring and reporting.\nEnsure finance processes are documented, controlled and consistently applied.\nWork with SDC and other delivery teams to ensure timely, accurate and complete delivery of finance outputs.\n\nStakeholder Management\nBuild effective working relationships across Finance and the wider business.\nProvide guidance on financial control, accounting and reporting matters.\nWork collaboratively with Finance Business Partners to support business facing conversations with robust, well controlled financial information.\nEscalate complex technical accounting matters, significant control issues and key risks to the Head of Financial Performance & Control as appropriate.\nSupport the Head of Financial Performance & Control in preparing information for governance forums, leadership meetings and external stakeholders.\nLeadership, Oversight & Quality Assurance\nProvide technical guidance, quality assurance and day-to-day coordination across Financial Control activities.\nCoordinate activity delivered through shared service, outsourced and offshore resources, ensuring outputs are complete, accurate and delivered to agreed deadlines.\nReview key reconciliations, reporting outputs and control evidence prepared by colleagues and delivery teams.\nEnsure responsibilities, deadlines and service levels are clearly understood and achieved across relevant Finance Operations processes.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and high-quality delivery across the Financial Performance & Control operating Certifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.\nFully qualified accountant with a recognised UK professional designation.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with post qualification experience in financial control, reporting, management reporting or a related finance role.\nSkills & Experience Required:\nEssential skills:\nStrong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.\nExperience delivering month end and year end close processes.\nExperience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements.\nExperience coordinating audits and working with external auditors.\nStrong balance sheet control and reconciliation experience.\nExperience preparing or reviewing management reporting, performance analysis or financial insight for senior stakeholders.\nAbility to connect financial control outputs with business performance reporting and Finance Business Partnering activity.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience operating within a controlled, regulated or professional services environment.\nExperience providing technical guidance, quality review, coaching or day-to-day coordination across colleagues, shared service teams or outsourced delivery resources.\nDesirable skills:\nExperience within regulated, partnership based, or professional services environments.\nExposure to finance system upgrades or process change initiatives (e.g. ERP, procurement or accounts payable systems).\nExperience supporting finance transformation or control enhancement programmes.\nExperience working with outsourced Finance Operations, shared service centres or offshore delivery teams.\nExperience working across financial control, finance business partnering and management reporting activities.\nTravel Requirements:\nTravel between the Channel Islands is expected.
