We are currently recruiting to fill the following position:\nJob Description\nPRIDE Industries\nJob Description\nJob: Custodial Supervisor\nJob Code: 879 - PR-Custodial Supvr\nHR Title Group: Commercial Contracts (Custodial & Landscape)\nSalary Grade: N19\nFLSA Status: Non-Exempt\nApproval Date: May 2022\nSUPERVISES: There are direct reports with this position.\nPOSITION SUMMARY: Under broad supervision the Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight of custodial services and custodial personnel. Employees in this job class perform a variety of functions to assure facilities are clean and free of safety hazards. This job class requires knowledge of custodial practices, custodial equipment, customer service techniques, computers, training, coaching, scheduling and working with employees with disabilities.\nTYPICAL DUTIES: 1. *Coordinates, directs, and schedules custodial staff and subcontract personnel in performing custodial services.2. *Maintains professional relationship with site customers, suppliers, vendors and employees. 3. *Supervises employees; ensures a competent, motivated team through hiring, training, development, counseling and reviewing the performance of employees. 4. *Conducts facility walks, quality control inspections, safety audits and provides feedback to personnel and customer as appropriate.5. *Schedules and prioritizes tasks, and ensures adherence to procedures, regulations and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.6. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.\n* Denotes Essential Job Function\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nThree or more years of experience in custodial services and/or building maintenance, including one year of supervisory experience;\nExperience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges, preferred;\nKnowledge of Cal OSHA, OSHA occupational safety and environmental regulations;\nSupervisory skills to hire qualified employees, provide for their professional development, administer performance management and disciplinary processes effectively, and address employee relations appropriately;\nAbility to effectively supervise and develop assigned team to meet production/service goals while adhering to safety policies and rules;\nEffective oral and written communication skills using appropriate business English;\nDemonstrated leadership, organizational, common sense and problem solving skills;\nHuman relation skills to build effective relationships with team and customers;\nEffective customer service skills;\nIntermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;\nKnowledge of business English including vocabulary and spelling;\nFundamental mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division;\nAbility to establish priorities and solve operational problems;\nFlexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nCERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:\nThe following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:\nValid Driver's License\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nEmployees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:\nViewing computer screen/monitor\nUtilizing keyboard\nAnswering phone/making calls\nManeuvering in and around the worksite\nStanding and walking, walking on uneven surfaces\nBending, kneeling, squatting and stooping\nMay assist employees lifting boxes or equipment up to 35 pounds\nMay assist employees pushing or pulling objects up to 70 pounds with or without assistance\nMay require climbing on ladders and/or step stools\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWork is performed in an office environment, or at a customer’s location, such as a commissary environment, a federal courthouse, or a military base.
