The Maintenance Scheduler schedules vehicle repairs and lubrication for vehicle-maintenance, schedules vehicles for lubrication or repairs based on date of last lubrication and mileage traveled or urgency of repairs.\nTYPICAL DUTIES:\n1. * Schedules vehicle repairs and lubrication for vehicle maintenance.\n2. * Schedules vehicle safety inspections.\n3. * Drives vehicles to repair shop for service and maintenance.\n4. * Inspects vehicles and equipment upon issue and return.\n5. * Maintains Issuance of keys, record sheets, and driver credentials.\n6. * Issues equipment to drivers (such as vehicles and elevated work platforms).\n7. * Informs supervisors of scheduled repairs or maintenance.\n8. * Assists loading elevated platforms onto transporter.\n9. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.\n* Denotes Essential Job Function\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n- Two or more years of prior work experience in a transportation environment;\n- Ability to follow direction, structured processes, and procedures;\n- Ability to communicate effectively to provide information, complete daily records, and to act responsively to inquiries and requests from vendors, customers, management, and to escalate matters appropriately;\n- Ability to manage and accurately track data, and adapt to changing work priorities;\n- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, including ability to exercise independent judgment;\n- Computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software;\n- Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving and common-sense skills with an attention to detail;\n- Flexibility for responding to competing demands and continually changing work priorities in a fast-paced environment;\n- Effective oral communication skills for providing information and assistance to internal and external customers; in person, over the telephone, and in writing;\n- Skills to enter or lookup and retrieve data from multiple, related systems and databases;\n- Ability to travel to and from worksites;\n- Ability to work safely\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nTechnical/other training\nCERTIFICATES REQUIRED:\nThe following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:\nValid Driver's License\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nEmployees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:\nAnswering phone/making calls\nManeuvering in and around the worksite\nMay require sitting, standing, walking, walking on uneven surfaces\nViewing computer screen\nUtilizing keyboard\nMay lift or move boxes up to 25 pounds\nCommunicating with others\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWork is performed primarily in an office environment with limited privacy and exposure to noise from others conducting business. May require driving to and from worksite locations.
