We are currently recruiting to fill the following position:AbilityOne\nN/AJob Description\nPRIDE Industries\nJob Description\nJob: Plumbing Supervisor\nJob Code: Q20 - BL-Supvr Plumbing\nSalary Grade: NSF\nFLSA Status: Non-Exempt\nApproval Date: August 2018\nSUPERVISES: There are direct reports with this position.\nPOSITION SUMMARY: Under broad supervision, the Plumbing Supervisor supervises the installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems. Oversees and manages plumbing related projects at a federal installation. Employees in this job class make decisions necessary to ensure continued base operations. This job class requires comprehensive knowledge of plumbing methodologies; federal and state codes, laws and regulations and the ability to organize, budget, and manage multiple projects.\nTYPICAL DUTIES: 1. *Directs and supervises skilled plumbing work in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems. Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of plumbing expenditures and procedures for plumbing systems maintenance. 2. *Estimates material and labor. 3. *Ensures budgetary guidelines are met; prioritizes expenditures to stay within budget and assists in the preparation of capital and operations budgets.4. *Schedules and prioritizes tasks, and ensures adherence to procedures, regulations and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.5. *Manages governmental compliance program and develops compliance reports. 6. *Acts as a technical resource to field personnel and actively engages in field issues.7. *Reviews work in progress and completed to ensure that work is performed according to instructions. 8. *Participates in a variety of departmental and other meetings on a regular basis.9. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. *Denote Essential Job Function\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nThree or more years of experience in the plumbing trade including one year of supervisory experience;\nKnowledge of the tools, equipment and materials common to the trade;\nKnowledge of applicable plumbing codes;\nKnowledge of the mechanics of operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, heaters and other plumbing components;\nSkill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of plumbing systems;\nSkill in estimating time and materials common to the trade;\nSupervisory skills to hire qualified employees, provide for their professional development, administer performance management and disciplinary processes effectively, and address employee relations appropriately;\nAbility to effectively supervise and develop assigned team to meet production/service goals while adhering to safety policies and rules;\nEffective oral and written communication skills using appropriate business English;\nDemonstrated leadership, organizational, common sense and problem solving skills;\nHuman relation skills to build effective relationships with team and customers;\nEffective customer service skills;\nIntermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;\nKnowledge of business English including vocabulary and spelling;\nFundamental mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division;\nAbility to establish priorities and solve operational problems;\nFlexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nTechnical/other training\nCERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:\nThe following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements.\nBackflow Prevent & Test\nFed Security Clearance\nState Plumbing License\nValid Driver's License\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:\nManeuvering to and around equipment\nBending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching\nClimbing stepstools or ladders\nLifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed at a customer’s location in office, shop, warehouse, or outdoor environment. May require driving to and from worksite locations. Equipment can be located in crawl spaces, rooftops, and outside facility.
