This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, production-grade data pipelines on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.\nThe ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and medallion architecture, along with a proven record of delivering reliable data solutions in enterprise environments.\nYou will report directly to the Sr. Data Architect and collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, BI developers, and offshore engineering teams to meet enterprise data delivery needs. This role requires deep technical expertise, a strong execution mindset, and the ability to adapt as the platform evolves to support generative AI, agent-based automation, and intelligent orchestration frameworks.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain ELT pipelines on Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL, following medallion architecture patterns (Bronze, Silver, Gold)\nPackage, version, and deploy reusable pipeline components using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs)\nImplement and manage CI/CD workflows across environments using Azure DevOps or GitHub\nPerform code reviews and provide delivery oversight for offshore data engineering teams, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to standards\nParticipate in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and architecture discussions\nProactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality, performance, and reliability issues\nEvaluate and adopt emerging tools and approaches, including LLMs, GenAI, and agent-based workflows, to modernize and automate data delivery\nSupport data modeling, lineage, and governance practices using Unity Catalog and related tooling\nMaintain clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field\n3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience delivering production workloads\nStrong experience with Databricks, Python, PySpark, and SQL\nExperience troubleshooting and debugging Terraform deployments, state management, module configurations, and cloud infrastructure issues.\nSolid understanding of Delta Lake and medallion architecture design principles\nExperience using Azure DevOps or GitHub for version control and CI/CD automation\nProven ability to support or lead offshore engineering teams while maintaining delivery accountability\nExperience with Azure-based data platforms preferred\nDatabricks certification (Associate Data Engineer or higher) preferred\nPalantir platform knowledge or experience is a plus\nInterest in or exposure to GenAI, agent tooling, and modern orchestration or ML workflows\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nSkills and Competencies\nHigh attention to detail with a quality-first mindset\nStrong ownership and accountability for deliverables\nAbility to operate effectively in a hybrid onshore and offshore delivery model\nWell-organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities\nWillingness to learn new tools, patterns, and frameworks as the platform evolves\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nWorking Conditions\nAbility to work remotely\nOccasional travel may be required\nFlexible work hours may be necessary to meet project timelines\nSalary Range\n$115,000 - $120,000 annually, depending upon experience\nCompany Overview:\nPrimoris Services Corporation is a premier specialty contractor providing critical infrastructure services to the utility, energy, and renewables markets throughout the United States and Canada.
