Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:\nSales and Commercial Focus - Maximising sales, opportunities and performance\n\nContribute to (or develop and source where applicable) the selection of products which will achieve company margin and profit targets each season and financial year\n\nContinually assess product range with key competitors to compare price, quality and value\n\nFinancial Range Planning / WSSI (Weekly Sales and Stock Information)\n\nAchieve stock turn targets to maximise overall contribution\n\nTake appropriate action in-season with repeat orders, cancellations and rescheduling of orders to maximise profitability\n\nMonitor, report and react to product sales performance\n\nEnsure prompt delivery of merchandise and correct phasing of intake to meet sales\n\nAssist the buyer in the preparation of mark down proposals in line with company policy and monitor this stock with a view to selling through\n\nContinually monitor the critical path\n\n What You’ll Bring\nHere at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued - so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:\nAn experienced assistant buyer, with fashion knowledge and proven negotiating skills.\n\nGoal-driven - You’ll assist the Buyer in selecting must-have fashion trends, while always keeping in mind our sales targets and margins for the financial year.\n\nTotal organisation - You’ll have perfect attention to detail when managing your orders and work closely with the merchandising team to make sure they hit stores.\n\nCommercial awareness - Keep a constant eye on our main competitors, comparing the price, quality and value of their ranges with our own - while providing weekly sales and stock info.\n\nStrong communication - Maintain flexible and beneficial supplier relationships.
