Primary is building agentic cash and treasury software for startups and high-growth businesses. We were Australia's Emerging Fintech of the Year in 2025, are backed by Australian venture firms like Carthona Capital, Afterwork Ventures & Archangel Ventures and are now building our US business from the ground up from New York.

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Product Manager - Finance. You'll be critical to how our largest US clients experience Primary: you'll run deployments for new clients, own onboarding end-to-end and be the trusted point of contact who makes sure every client gets maximum value from the platform.

This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role for someone who can go from live deployment → long-term partnership fast. You’ve likely been in a finance team before, looking to make the switch to the operator side. You should be excited to be in the NYC office building alongside the team.

Why this role exists

You should be able to:

• Run deployment and onboarding for large new clients from signed to fully live. This involves getting accounts opened, funds deployed, workflows configured

• Speak the language of our users in the finance team, helping them work through mechanical and technical issues during implementation

• Own ongoing client relationships as the key point of contact, building trust with founders, CFOs and finance teams

• Make sure clients derive maximum value from the platform - spotting opportunities to deepen usage across yield, FX and cash management

• Drive wallet expansion by understanding each client's treasury needs and matching them to what we've built (and what we should build next)

The role involves deep client empathy, financial fluency and operational rigour. Your north star is the success and satisfaction of our clients: successful onboarding and growing share of wallet.

What you'll do

You'll own a portfolio of clients through their full lifecycle. Some work will be deployment-shaped, some relationship-shaped, some product/ops-shaped. You'll take clients from signature to onboarded to expanding, and feed what you learn back into the product.

Deployment of our agentic product

• Lead onboarding for large new clients end-to-end: kickoff, account setup, funds migration, integrations and training. The first 30 days should feel effortless for new clients.

• Coordinate cross-functionally (product, engineering, compliance, banking partners) to remove blockers and keep deployments on schedule.

• Build and refine the onboarding playbook so every deployment is faster and smoother than the last.

Relationship & account management

• Serve as the key point of contact for ongoing clients: regular check-ins, QBRs and proactive outreach when markets or client needs shift.

• Identify expansion opportunities - additional entities, new products, larger balances - and drive wallet growth across the book.

• Turn client feedback into clear, prioritized signals for the product team and champion client needs internally.

What we're looking for

• 2-6 years of experience in finance or a client-facing analytical environment (banking, asset management, treasury, corporate finance, top-tier consulting or a high-growth fintech).

• A finance background with genuine fluency in cash, yield and FX concepts and a desire to move into a client-facing, ownership-heavy role.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholders, break down ambiguous problems and drive work to completion with autonomy.

• Strong communication skills - you can explain financial concepts clearly to a founder and hold your own with a CFO.

• You've already built AI agents for yourself to automate parts of your existing role or personal life.

• Experience owning a client, revenue or retention goal is a plus. B2B SaaS exposure is a plus.

Our target base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000.
