have an opening for a Materials & Equipment Delivery Driver in our Construction office.\n\nResponsibilities:\nPerform pre-trip Inspections: check oil, fluid levels, tires, lights, brakes, etc. \nComplete checklist and submit daily. \nCheck that truck is kept in optimum operating condition by reporting all repair requirements to Fleet Mechanic without delay.\nDrive and Operate 1-ton flat bed truck\nDrive and operate vehicle with bumper pull trailer\nExercise reasonable care in truck operation.\nAdhere to all applicable safety rules and regulations.\nObtain job assignment, address and location and confirm best routing to designated areas.\nHaul trash material to landfill.\nDisposing of materials: dump in designated area, clean vehicle after dumping when necessary.\nPhysically capable to load equipment and tooling by hand (fence panels, signage, etc.)\nSubmit daily activity report, haul tickets and purchase receipts.\nPick up and Haul materials and aggregate from suppliers to job sites.\nOther duties as required.\n\nQualifications:\nMinimum 2 years hauling materials and equipment – truck driving experience in city limits.\nMust have class 5 Drivers Licence.\nProven care and diligence with good safety record.\nApplicants must have a current clean 5 years Driver’s Abstract in good standing with minimal demerits.\nUnderstanding of legislation and regulations in transportation.\nPrevious experience is an asset.\nValid Driver’s License and Driver’s abstract in good standing.\nMinimum 2000 hours experience in similar or same
