company policies and ensure safe and productive completion of the work.\nInstall, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems.\nSplice, solder, insulate, and terminate conductors and wiring.\nInstall and maintain street lighting systems.\nErect and maintain poles.\nPlan site projects and resource requirements with the Supervisor.\nCoordinate material requirements and effectively manage site materials.\nDemonstrate technical ability and application of appropriate processes and procedures.\nConduct safety meetings and assist with incident reporting and investigations as required.\nProvide leadership and coaching to apprentices.\nMaintain detailed project field documentation, reports, and job closing documents.\nProvide input into performance reviews for apprentices.\nRead and interpret electrical drawings and prints.\nOther duties as required.\n\nQualifications:\nRed Seal Journeyman Certification as a Power Line Technician.\nUnderstanding of applicable codes and regulations.\nPlanning skills of project completion, resource requirements, and project documentation.\nStrong knowledge of electrical distribution construction, blueprint reading, and understanding of specification requirements.\nAbility to lead and work within a team environment.\nPromotion of safe work practices.\nStrong communication skills both verbal and written.\n\n A few qualifications that would help you succeed:\nLive-line experience or qualifications \n5 to 10 years of experience constructing overhead and underground distribution powerlines. \nExperience working on ENMAX Power Corporation’s and Fortis Alberta’s Distribution System.\nSelf-starter requiring minimal supervision.\nExceptional organizational skills and the ability to autonomously manage workload to control multiple tasks with a very high degree of accuracy, while meeting project deadlines.\nStrong English language skills (verbal and written), ability to develop strong business relationships and act in a professional manner.\nA passion for your work and a drive for excellence.\nValid Class 3 or 5 driver’s license with Q endorsement and Driver’s abstract in good
