Daconi provide cost effective solutions to educational, enterprise, industrial and agricultural sectors.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Networking team at Daconi. As an apprentice you’ll gain hands-on experience of advanced surveying tools while working alongside experienced engineers and studying towards a nationally recognised qualification.\nYou will be working on all aspects of networking including WiFi, VOIP, CCTV and switching covering:\nsupport of customer deployments - mainly office based using remote access to troubleshoot issues, monitor performance and manage change requests, documenting changes\nsurveying new opportunities - at the end customer site using advanced tools to gather customer requirements and drafting proposed solutions\ninstallation - involves configuration of equipment in the office prior to installation at the customers site. Installation includes:\npreparation for an installation: checking materials and tools are ready and correct for the install, loading vehicles\ncomplying with site health and safety requirements, handling tools and materials, using of ladders and MEWP’s,\ninstalling: data cabling, terminating & testing, equipment and verifying correct operational,\npost installation: performing post installation surveys, checking tools and test equipment are correct before leaving site, loading vehicles, recycling waste materials, documenting the installation,\nWhat you will be doing:\nDo you want to use your passion for technology in a business environment to support service users with technical IT related issues, integrating digital technologies and developing digital solutions? This could involve email, telephone or face to face support on infrastructure, network principles, systems and architecture, mobility, device and cloud fundamentals. The apprentice will also have the opportunity to engage with a range of media and software, both on a development and operational level.\nThe training you'll be provided with:Comprehensive digital introductory modules including techncial concepts and personal/ professional development \nLevel 4 Network Engineer apprenticeship standard\ne-learning training materials\nSpecialist CompTIA vendor qualifications\nVirtual classroom training on the CompTIA vendor qualifications\nAccess to uCertify training platform; core learning materials, assessments, and practical hands-on-labs \nMonthly assessor visits and competency checks\n9 am - 5 pm Support desk for technical support \nYou will also have the opportunity to network with a range of other apprentices on our programme who can share ideas, offer suggestions and support. Our apprentices love being able to help each other!As one of our apprentices you will also have access to our online portal that will provide you with information and technical guidance, as well as links to the helpdesk to speak to technicians who can give real-time advice and support.\nDesiredSkills:\nMust have GCSE pass grades or equivalent in English and Math\nMust have IT specific qualification at either A-level or Level 3 Apprenticeship in Science, Design & Tech, Computer Science, or other relevant qualifications\nGood communication skills\nMust have relevant experience in an IT and/or networking related role\nMust have experience in a technical support environment\nGood practical skills, e.g. able to use power tools, ladders, etc.\nFull and valid UK driving licence\nRoadworthy car with valid insurance allowing you to travel on business work\nTechnical knowledge of:WAN and LAN networking technologies\nFault finding and technical troubleshooting\nNetworking infrastructure- switching, routing and firewall\n\nWorking Week:\nFull - Time, 37.5 hours per week\nSalary:\n£21,000 per annum negotiable dependent on experience, 28 days holidays including bank holidays.\nExpected Duration:\n18 Months with 4 months End Point Assessment.\nWhere a Primary Goal apprenticeship can take you:\nThis is a great opportunity for you to develop skills that will enhance your networking career.
