This strategic position ensures a smooth transition from conceptualization to project execution. This role leads and manages the development process: due-diligence, entitlement, design, and pre-construction processes for a portfolio of data center projects across the US. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Delivery Services, this role involves coordinating efforts among Designers, Engineers, General Contractors, Consultants, City Officials, and Prime Data Centers Stakeholders. This is an on-site position at Prime’s Denver office.\nWhat you'll do\nSpearhead the process of obtaining proposals for design reviews from qualified vendors, liaising with city officials and consultants to understand permit requirements, conducting initial site assessments, and managing pre-construction activities.\nCollaborate with design teams to ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards.\nEngage with city officials and external consultants to comprehensively understand and fulfill permit requirements.\nStrategically navigate regulatory landscapes to facilitate smooth permitting processes.\nContribute to the development and refinement of the Basis of Design, ensuring alignment with project objectives.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical and operational requirements into the design process.\nConduct thorough initial site assessments to identify potential challenges and opportunities.\nProvide valuable insights into site suitability and feasibility for data center development.\nAssume a pre-construction manager role by coordinating and overseeing activities leading up to the construction phase.\nCollaborate closely with various stakeholders to streamline processes and ensure efficient project progression.\nWork closely with the procurement team to coordinate Owner Furnished Contractor Installed equipment (OFCI) and manage long lead items in relation to project schedule.\nEnsure timely procurement to maintain project timelines and mitigate risks.\nDevelop initial project budgets and schedules based on established templates.\nContinuously monitor and refine budgetary and scheduling aspects to align with project milestones.\nCollaborate with the QA/QC and Commissioning team, in conjunction with Construction team, to ensure seamless integration of back-end testing processes and equipment installation.\nProvide support in pre-construction efforts to optimize the commissioning phase.\nFacilitate a smooth transition to the Construction Project Manager (CPM) during General Contractor (GC) onboarding.\nSupport the CPM through the permitting phase, ensuring a seamless handover of project responsibilities.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\n3-5 years of experience in development permitting\nPrevious Mission Critical/data center experience strongly desired\nApplicants with development review experience in the public and/or private sectors strongly encouraged to apply\nBachelors or Master’s Degrees in civil engineering, structural engineering, urban planning, landscape architecture, or architecture strongly desired\nUnderstanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and lifecycle\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary range - $90,000-$130,000 - and performance bonus program\n401k fully vested upon enrollment, up to a 4% employer match\n100% employee premiums paid by employer for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability\nPaid Time Off + Sick time\nApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.\nPrime is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
