This role supports engineering, construction, commissioning, and turnover efforts while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements.\nThe TFO Project Engineer must possess a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems commonly found in data center environments. Responsibilities may include generating bills of material, preparing and reviewing submittals, soliciting vendor quotations, performing quantity takeoffs, supporting project documentation, coordinating field activities, and managing engineering records through the Document Management System.\nWhat you'll do\nCollaborate with internal teams and external vendors to design, implement, and commission data center infrastructure projects. \nSupport tenant fit-out projects including white space buildouts, cage installations, structured cabling, rack deployments, and customer-specific infrastructure requirements.\nTranslate technical requirements into project plans, schematics, and documentation. \nEnsure all work complies with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. \nSupport the deployment of power (UPS, generators, PDUs), cooling (CRAC/CRAH, HVAC), and structured cabling systems. \nParticipate in capacity planning, risk analysis, and impact assessments for changes to the data center environment. \nMonitor installation progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.\nTrack project milestones, timelines, and budgets in coordination with project managers. \nPrepare and present technical reports, updates, and recommendations to stakeholders. \nAssist in vendor selection, procurement, and contractor supervision as needed.\nMaintain detailed records of system designs, configurations, and installations. \nEnsure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. \nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience in a related technical field \n3+ years of experience in data center engineering, construction, or operations\nStrong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure (power, cooling, cabling, network) \nFamiliarity with data center design standards and best practices \nProficiency in project tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar \nExcellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills \nBenefits\nCompetitive salary range - $100,000-$120,000 based on candidates' skills and experience, along with an annual bonus program & a capital project bonus\n401k up to a 4% employer match that is fully vested upon enrollment\n100% employee premiums paid by employerfor medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability\nOver 4-weeks of Paid Time Off + Sick time\nApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.\nPrime is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
