A private firm owned by a group controlling $6 billion in assets, with a 15-year tenure in technology and real estate development, Prime provides customers with ownership options and dynamic leasing models, defining a true corporate partnership.\nAbout the role\nPrime Data Centers is seeking a Regional Training Engineer to execute and deliver hands-on training programs across an assigned region of Prime's growing hyperscale and AI-ready data center portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Technical Training and Development, this role serves as the on-the-ground extension of Prime's training organization - translating the curriculum, standards, and certification pathways the Director establishes into consistent, high-quality training delivery at every site in the region, partnering closely with the Director to stand up and continuously improve Prime's training program from the ground up.\nThis is a hands-on, field-facing role for someone who wants to build something early, not administer a program that already runs itself. You'll spend the majority of your time on the data center floor and in the classroom with technicians, not behind a desk.\nWhat you'll do\nRegional Training Engineers are the primary link between Prime's training standards and the technicians executing MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs on the floor every day. This role ensures Prime's training program isn't just well-designed at headquarters - it's delivered consistently, tracked accurately, and improved continuously at every site in the region.\nThe insight this role brings back from the field - what's working, what's confusing, what technicians are struggling with - directly shapes how the Director, Technical Training and Development evolves the program company-wide. In many ways, this role is the feedback loop that keeps the entire training program honest and grounded in real site conditions.\nResponsibilities\nRegional Training Delivery\nDeliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training across all sites in the region, following the curriculum and standards set by the Director, Technical Training and Development.\nExecute new-hire onboarding and procedural proficiency training tied to each site's MOP, SOP, and EOP library.\nCoordinate training schedules with Site Directors, Critical Facility Managers, and Chief Engineers to minimize operational disruption.\nCurriculum & Certification Management\nPilot new curriculum, provide field feedback, and adapt materials to site-specific equipment without compromising standardization.\nAdminister certification checkpoints and maintain accurate, audit-ready training records in the LMS for every site in the region.\nOwn site-level compliance currency - including CPR, First Aid, and NFPA 70E - coordinating with local site teams on routine audits and progress tracking.\nTrain-the-Trainer & Cross-Functional Support\nIdentify, coach, and certify Chief Engineers and Critical Facility Managers as in-house instructors, co-delivering sessions to maintain consistency.\nServe as the regional point of contact for training questions from site leadership, EHS, and HR.\nReporting & Continuous Improvement\nReport regional training KPIs and escalate gaps to the Director, Technical Training and Development with supporting data.\nUse incident post-mortems and redline data from regional sites to recommend curriculum updates.\nSupport new-site readiness and training mobilization as Prime's regional footprint expands.\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of experience in critical facilities, data center operations, or mission-critical industrial environments.\nExperience delivering technical training, mentoring, or on-the-job coaching in an operational environment.\nWorking knowledge of critical facility electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, BMS/EPMS).\nComfortable delivering both classroom and hands-on, floor-based training.\nStrong communication and facilitation skills; ability to train technicians across varying experience levels.\nHighly organized, with the discipline to keep certification and compliance records accurate and audit-ready.\nComfortable operating with evolving priorities as the training program is being built out.\nWillingness and ability to travel 20-40% of the time within the assigned region, including overnight travel.\nPreferred\nPrior experience as a Critical Operating Technician, Chief Engineer, or similar critical facilities role, with a track record of mentoring or informally training others.\nExperience at a colocation, hyperscale, or wholesale data center operator.\nCDCP® or CDCS® certification (or actively working toward one), or an NFPA 70E qualified trainer credential.\nExperience administering or using a Learning Management System (LMS).\nExperience supporting AI-ready or high-density computing environments.\nCurrent CPR/First Aid instructor certification, or willingness to obtain one shortly after hire.\nLeadership\nHands-on mindset with a genuine passion for teaching and developing others.\nStrong attention to detail and follow-through on certification and compliance tracking.\nComfortable delivering direct feedback and holding technicians accountable to standards.\nAdaptable across sites, equipment, and regional teams.\nCollaborative team player who represents the Training & Development organization well in the field.\nMotivated by seeing technicians grow, advance, and succeed.\nReliable and self-directed when working across multiple sites with minimal day-to-day supervision.\nWhy Prime\nJoin Prime's Training & Development organization at a foundational stage and help shape it from the ground up.\nDirectly influence how technicians across your region are trained, certified, and developed.\nWork closely with the Director, Technical Training and Development on a program built to become an industry leader.\nGain exposure to Prime's rapidly expanding hyperscale and AI-ready portfolio.\nBuild a career path toward regional or enterprise training leadership as Prime scales.\nJoin a company where your work is visible - the technicians you train and certify are the ones keeping Prime's customers online.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary range of $140-170k, depending on the candidates' experience and performance bonus program\nAn employer dollar-for-dollar 401k match up to a 4%, vested fully upon enrollment\n100% employee premiums paid by employer for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability\nOver 4-weeks of Paid Time Off + Sick time\nApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.\nPrime is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All applicants are considered for employment without attention to race, color, age, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, protected veteran or military status, disability status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.","description_format":"text","description_chars":7097,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["401k plan","Life insurance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Data Centers & Colocation"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-03T08:58:38Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Filed H-1B visas in the last two years","filings_12m":0,"filings_prev_12m":1,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-15T11:24:14+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":76,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.843,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":37,"expected_fill_days":92,"reasons":["conf:0","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-10-22T06:10:10Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":170000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/prime-data-centers-regional-training-engineer-critical-facilities","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/prime-data-centers-regional-training-engineer-critical-facilities.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-22T09:24:27Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":6169,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-23T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":685307},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=685307"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fprime-data-centers-regional-training-engineer-critical-facilities"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fprime-data-centers-regional-training-engineer-critical-facilities"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fprime-data-centers-regional-training-engineer-critical-facilities"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/prime-data-centers-regional-training-engineer-critical-facilities\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fprime-data-centers-regional-training-engineer-critical-facilities"}]}
