Experience in construction accounting is preferred, particularly with job costing, subcontractor payments, purchase orders, and construction-related financial processes.\nHow We Invest in You\nCompetitive Compensation Based on Experience\nAmazing Health Insurance Benefits at Extremely Reasonable Rates\nOn-Site Fitness Club: Weight Training Center & Cardio Lounge\nAccess to a Company Salon, Spa & Barbershop, Chiropractor, Doctor's Office & Daycare Center\n401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Match\nPaid Vacation\nDental & Vision Insurance\nHSA & Dependent FSA Benefits\nAccident, Short-Term Disability & Life Insurance Options\nInnovative Wellness Program that Pays You to Be Healthy\nResponsibilities\nAccounts Payable Management\n· Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.\n· Match invoices to purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and receiving documentation, as applicable.\n· Verify invoice coding, including general ledger accounts, job numbers, cost codes, and cost types.\n· Obtain appropriate approvals and resolve invoice discrepancies with Project Managers, vendors, and internal departments.\n· Prepare vendor payments in accordance with established payment terms and company procedures.\n· Prepare and process batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.\n· Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms and other required documentation.\n· Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding invoices and payment discrepancies.\n· Monitor accounts payable aging and assist with cash flow planning.\n· Handle vendor correspondence by phone and email.\n· Maintain organized electronic and physical accounts payable records.\nGeneral Accounting & Financial Reporting\n· Assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.\n· Support month-end and year-end closing activities.\n· Reconcile company credit card statements and employee expense reports.\n· Assist with bank reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned.\n· Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.\n· Identify, research, and help correct accounting discrepancies to ensure transactions are recorded accurately.\n· Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.\n· Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.\n· Monitor, calculate, and process employee incentives on a weekly basis.\n· Assist with payroll processing and related accounting entries.\nConstruction Accounting & Job Costing\n· Assist with maintaining accurate jobcost records and construction project expenses.\n· Verify that invoices and expenses are assigned to the appropriate projects, cost codes, and cost types.\n· Assist with tracking project costs and maintaining accurate financial records for construction operations.\n· Coordinate with Project Managers and other team members to resolve job cost coding issues and invoice discrepancies.\n· Help ensure project-related financial transactions are properly documented and recorded in accordance with company procedures.\nCollaboration & Process Improvement\n· Work closely with the Controller, Project Managers, vendors, and internal departments to support accounting operations.\n· Communicate effectively to resolve discrepancies, obtain approvals, and maintain timely invoice processing.\n· Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.\n· Follow established accounting procedures, internal controls, and company policies.\n· Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, documentation, and recordkeeping.\n· Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.\nQualifications\nExperience\nTwo or more years of accounting or accounts payable experience preferred.\nConstruction industry accounting experience preferred, particularly with job costing, subcontractor payments, and purchase orders.\nWorking knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounts payable processes.\nExperience with accounting software; construction accounting software experience is a plus.\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to review, organize, and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.\nFamiliarity with invoice processing, account reconciliations, and general accounting procedures.\nAbility to identify discrepancies, research issues, and maintain accurate accounting records.\nEducation\nAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent relevant work experience will be considered.\nCommunication & Professional Skills\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.\nProfessional and effective communication with vendors, Project Managers, and internal departments.\nAbility to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.\nA proactive, dependable, and team-oriented approach to daily responsibilities.\nWorking Environment\nThis position is primarily office-based and involves regular collaboration with the Controller, Project Managers, vendors, and other internal departments.
