Responsibilities of this position will include:\nProviding lightly seasoned, nutritionally adequate and varied diet for driving and non-driving associates.\nPerforming cooking duties with other workers.\nServing salads, vegetables, meat, and breads as indicated by customers.\nCarrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator.\nScrubbing and polishing counters, steam-ables, and other equipment.\nCleaning work area, equipment, and utensils.\nSegregating and removing garbage, and steam cleaning or hosing garbage containers.\nReplenishing foods at serving stations.\nBrewing coffee and tea, and maintaining functionality of soft drink, ice, and water fountain.\nCarving meat.\nTotaling check and accepting payment for food if applicable.\nWiping tables and seats with dampened cloth if applicable.\nTransporting trash and waste to disposal area.\nSupervises and participates in daily operations of café on the cook line, in the kitchen, and at the cash register.\nMakes recommendations and decisions regarding overall operation of the café.\nFollows established procedures for cleanliness and food preparation and ensures that food service work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner an in accordance with government and company standards.\nSeeks to maximize revenue opportunities and minimize costs.\nDelivers exceptional service to all customers including non-driving and driving associates.\nEnsures all associates are aware of their responsibilities and are given supervision and motivation on all aspects of their work.\nDevelops a team of associates that take pride in their job and take ownership of their work.\nOrients and trains staff in proper work practices during their shift.\nAssures that all associates are following Prime and Café policies, addresses infractions and reports to the Café supervisor.\nAssures that meals are prepared and delivered on time and in acceptable quantity and quality.\nInventories supplies and equipment. \nCandidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs; pushing and pulling is minimal.\nMust be able to drive to second location to deliver cafe supplies.\nShift needed:\nFull time position\nTuesday - Saturday 2:30pm - 10:30pm\nQualifications\nQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:\nAny combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:\nKnowledge\nIndustrial kitchen or line cook experience is preferred. Management experience is also a plus.\nAbilities\nMust have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required.\nExperience, Education, and Training\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPhysical Requirements\nPosition requires frequent walking, head turning, bending, reaching and grasping; constant standing forward reaching and grasping.
