The ideal candidate is highly technical and has a proven commitment to quality with a solid understanding of testing concepts, practices and procedures.As a QA Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure strategic planning and implementation of SQA processes and to build effective test plans, test cases to explore and validate the functional correctness of our applications.\nThis is a Hybrid Role - 2days in office (Tue/Wed)\nLocation: Duluth, GA\nSalary range between $110K - $135K Annually\nResponsibilities & Qualifications\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nServe as a hands-on leader, driving quality assurance across web, mobile, API, mainframe and database, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and secure..\nDefine and execute a forward-looking QA strategy that supports modernization initiatives (cloud migrations, mobile framework upgrades, re-platforming) while maintaining stability in legacy systems.\nEstablish and manage KPI, KRI, RTM, standards, and processes to measure and continuously improve organizational quality maturity, including automation coverage, effectiveness, and ROI metrics.\nActively contribute to test planning and execution by determining optimal test approaches across functional, regression, integration, performance, compliance, and UAT phases.\nPartner with product, development, and operations teams to align QA with business priorities, ensuring automation is applied where it adds maximum value and quality is built into delivery pipelines.\nProvide input and estimates to project planning activities for SQA tasks, including contributing to evaluation of automation feasibility, prioritization, and effort vs. value, and ensure timely and accurate status reporting of QA tasks, risks, and issues.\nContribute to the design of extensible test automation harnesses to efficiently expand automation coverage across platforms.\nDrive process innovation and continuous improvement across QA practices, tools, and cross-team collaboration.\nServe as project leader on large, complex projects; manages all aspects including planning, scheduling meetings, documenting decisions, making appropriate updates to test plan and strategy.\nLead defect triage, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation to prevent recurrence of critical issues.\nDirectly supervise and mentor SQA engineers. Supervisory responsibilities including performance management, staffing, employee relations & compensation.\nProvide support as a subject-matter expert (SME) for applications and QA processes, including test strategy, automation coverage, and quality engineering practices.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nProven ability to lead by example as a hands-on QA practitioner, earning credibility in both manual testing leadership and automation strategy.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to scale QA teams while remaining actively involved in test strategy, planning, and decision-making.\nExcellent communication and executive presence to present QA metrics, risks, and recommendations with authority grounded in hands-on knowledge.\nDeep knowledge of testing methodologies and QA tools, with a record of applying them directly in complex projects.\nExpertise in multi-platform QA (mainframe, web, mobile, APIs, databases) with practical, hands-on experience.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including debugging and root cause analysis of complex, cross-system issues.\nAbility to balance strategic direction with day-to-day technical contribution, ensuring QA maturity and delivery speed.\nFamiliarity with regulatory and compliance testing and ability to execute compliance-focused test cycles.\nKnowledge of Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and hybrid delivery models, combined with hands-on experience embedding QA in those environments.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor through direct involvement, fostering collaboration and team development.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science/technology/engineering, information technology, or equivalent discipline required\n10+ years of progressive QA experience in enterprise-scale environments, with consistent hands-on involvement in testing.\n5+ years in a QA management role, balancing leadership responsibilities with direct contribution.\nStrong experience in web, mainframe, API, mobile, including devices, simulators/emulators, and cloud-based test platforms.\nExperience in estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities, including decisions on test approach and automation prioritization.\nStrong hands-on test case and test protocol writing skills.\nProficiency in test case design, execution, and documentation using multiple testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, exploratory, performance).\nExperience with modern test and defect management tools (Jira, TestRail, ALM, or equivalents).\nHands-on experience testing SOAP and REST APIs with Postman or equivalent tools.\nFamiliarity with compliance and regulatory testing in financial or other highly regulated domains.\nDemonstrated success in QA leadership for modernization initiatives, with continuous personal involvement in testing and validation activities.\nFLSA status:\nThis position is exempt (not eligible for overtime pay):\nYesOur Benefits:\nDay one health, dental, and vision insurance\n\n401(k) Plan with competitive employer match\n\nVacation, sick, holiday and volunteer time off\n\nLife and disability insurance\n\nFlexible Spending Account & Health Savings Account\n\nProfessional development\n\nTuition reimbursement\n\nCompany-sponsored social and philanthropy events\n\nIt has been and will continue to be the policy of Primerica, Inc., and its subsidiaries to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
