The ideal candidate is technical and has a proven commitment to quality with a solid understanding of testing concepts, practices and procedures.As a Manual Tester, your primary responsibility will be to build effective test plans and test cases to explore and validate the functional correctness of our applications.\nSalary range between $52K - $55K Annually\nRemote/GA\nResponsibilities & Qualifications\nThe Software Testing Analyst is responsible for testing and verification of software solutions in the Licensing and Prelicensing Departments at Primerica. The ideal candidate is technical and has a proven commitment to quality with a solid understanding of testing concepts, practices and procedures.\nAs a Manual Tester, your primary responsibility will be to build effective test plans and test cases to explore and validate the functional correctness of our applications.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nSoftware verification of software applications in all phases of development life cycle including planning, inputs, design, implementation, and testing.\nActively participate and contribute to ensure project test plans, scenarios, and data satisfy the project requirements as well as organizational quality standards.\nLearn and analyze system specifications/requirements.\nWrite and execute manual system level test cases and procedures and analyze the results.\nReport defects and work with analyst, Product Owner and developers to resolve them.\nPerform debugging and root cause analysis of product issues or defects.\nProvide input and estimates to project planning activities and timely and accurate status reporting risks, and issues to project stakeholders.\nProvide continuous risk assessment and timely escalation of software quality concerns.\nSupport department inquiries and maintenance tables.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\n· Ability to provide regular and frequent status updates and project information to management.\n· Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical issues to testers, developers and product owners\n· Quick grasp of technical information and requirements.\n· Sound business related skills such as problem solving, team building, judgment and decisions making.\n· Excellent planning and organization skills, with a commitment to delivering on aggressive deadline\n· Ability to work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project.\n· Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.\n· Expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\n· Technical Trade or business school in project management, technology, or equivalent discipline required\n· At least 2 years’ experience overall in quality assurance testing\nExperience in estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities.\nStrong hands-on test case and test protocol writing skills.\nThorough understanding of testing methodologies including smoke testing and regression testing.\nExcellent troubleshooting skills to help isolate the cause of a defect.\nKnowledge of Jira, TestRail or their equivalents.\nExperience using SQL\nExperience with multiple platforms (Windows, DB2, SQL Server)\nExperience testing multi-tiered web-based systems.\nKnowledge of Agile Application Development and Scrum methodologies.\nFLSA status:\nThis position is exempt (not eligible for overtime pay):\nYesOur Benefits:\nDay one health, dental, and vision insurance\n\n401(k) Plan with competitive employer match\n\nVacation, sick, holiday and volunteer time off\n\nLife and disability insurance\n\nFlexible Spending Account & Health Savings Account\n\nProfessional development\n\nTuition reimbursement\n\nCompany-sponsored social and philanthropy events\n\nIt has been and will continue to be the policy of Primerica, Inc., and its subsidiaries to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
