Collaborating closely with clients, project teams, and colleagues, the engineer ensures a successful commissioning process in adherence to Prime standards.\nRequirements\nMajor Roles and Responsibilities:\nSystem Configuration:\nConfigure access control devices, cameras, and system components per design specifications and direction.\nFollow established procedures to ensure consistent system setup.\nSystem Verification & Testing:\nExecute validation tests on devices and integrations.\nVerify field installations align with drawings and scope of work.\nIdentify basic deficiencies and correct them where appropriate.\nDocumentation:\nComplete commissioning documentation accurately and on time.\nUpload records into company documentation platform.\nCustomer Interaction:\nProvide basic end-user instruction on system operation as directed.\nTroubleshooting:\nResolve routine configuration issues and escalate advanced problems appropriately.\nQualifications and Experience:\nA minimum of 0-2 years of technical experience preferably in physical security systems or 1-3 years field technician experience preferably in physical security systems.\nBasic Understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies.\nBasic Understanding of network protocols and system integration.\nProblem-solving and analytical skills.\nGenetec Certification (OTC 001).\nStrong communication and interpersonal abilities.\nMust demonstrate our Core Values (Serve; Everyone has a story, collect it; Play chess not checkers; Own it; Growth minded).\nMinimum 12 months of service time in the Associate role required before promotion eligibility to Commissioning Engineer.\nAdditional Notes:\nProbationary period of 90 days.\nIndividuals with a felony or misdemeanor convictions MAY not be hired.\nIndividuals must not have any alcohol or drug-related convictions or suspensions within the past three years.\nIndividual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral & written communication skills.\nIndividual must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements.\nPrime Secured is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
