This is a hands-on working position.\nRequirements\nMajor Roles and Responsibilities\nLead the installation of access control devices and related hardware on all doors, including low voltage electric door hardware. \nLead the installation of video surveillance systems including cameras, software, switches, patch panels, and other associated devices. \nLead the installation of intrusion alarm wiring, control panels, and other associated devices. \nLead the scheduled preventative maintenance on access control, IP video system, and intrusion alarm systems. \nLead the installation of programming access control, IP video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems. \nWork in conjunction with the engineering team in the functional testing of all installed systems. \nAssist in the training and development of technicians. \nEnsure project scope is accurately completed to Prime installation standards.\nMaintains communication throughout the project with the project management team to ensure all departmental daily records are maintained. \nField execution of the daily project schedule to stay within scope of work and allotted budgeted hours. \nOther duties as assigned. \nQualifications and Education Requirements\nA high school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical/business school background is strongly preferred). \nMinimum of 3+ years of experience in the security field. \nMinimum of 1-2 years of experience with low voltage cabling. \nExperience with the use of a multimeter and cable tester. \nFamiliarity with the use of various hand and power tools. \nMust have a valid driver’s license. \nGood judgment is required. \nStrong organizational skills are required. \nExceptional customer service skills are a must. \nPreferred Skills\nLooking for technicians with access control and IP camera experience, preferably familiar with the following manufacturers: Genetec, AMAG, Lenel, Axis, DMP, DSX, HID. Manufacturer certifications highly preferred. \nAbility to read blueprints and other technical documentation. \nUnderstanding of electrical theory and relay logic. \nIndustry specific manufacturer certification. \nAdditional Notes\nProbationary period of 90 days.\nIndividual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral and written communication skills. \nIndividuals must be able to pass a drug screen as well as a background check. \nIndividuals must be available to work variable hours. \nPrime will cover travel expenses including hotel, flight and/or rental vehicle and will provide a daily per diem rate when overnight travel is required. \nPrime Secured is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
