This role oversees all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to maintain maximum uptime while leading site operations, maintenance, vendor management, and operational projects. The CFM serves as the primary technical leader for the facility, managing staff, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and customer standards.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep mission-critical infrastructure experience who can lead teams, manage complex facility operations, improve reliability, oversee vendors, and deliver operational excellence in a 24/7 data center environment.\nWhat you'll do\nLead day-to-day operations and maintenance of all critical facility infrastructure.\nEnsure maximum uptime through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergency response.\nManage Operations Technicians, providing leadership, training, coaching, and performance oversight.\nServe as the primary escalation point for facility-related issues and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.\nOversee vendor performance, safety compliance, and customer relationships.\nLead capital improvements and operational projects from planning through implementation.\nDevelop and implement operational procedures, best practices, and site standards.\nMonitor facility performance, document maintenance activities, and communicate status to leadership.\nElectrical distribution (480V, medium voltage, switchgear, UPS, STS/ATS, generators)\nMechanical systems (HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs, water treatment)\nBuilding automation and monitoring systems (BMS/EPMS)\nFire/life safety systems and NFPA/NEC compliance\nTroubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance\nMicrosoft Office and computerized monitoring systems\nQualifications\nRequired\n5+ years of experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or similar environments.\nTechnical degree or equivalent industry experience.\nStrong leadership and project management skills.\nCPR/First Aid and NFPA 70E certification (or ability to obtain).\nPreferred\n6+ years of mission-critical operations experience.\n3+ years leading technical teams in a 24/7 environment.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary range $130,000-$165,000 based on candidates' skills and experience, along with an annual bonus program\n401k fully vested upon enrollment, up to a 4% employer match\n100% employee premiums paid by employer for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability\nPaid Time Off + Sick time\nApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.\nPrime is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
